OlderMichael Fassbender: 'Shame' at the Venice Film Festival
Michael Fassbender suits up for the premiere of his new film, Shame, on Sunday (September 4) at Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy.
The 34-year-old actor hit the red carpet with screenwriter Abi Morgan and director Steve McQueen and also promoted the drama at a photo call earlier in the day.
“Driven by a brilliant, ferocious performance by Michael Fassbender, Shame is a real walk on the wild side, a scorching look at a case of sexual addiction that’s as all-encompassing as a craving for drugs,” THR reports.

I watched “Jane Eyre” not too long ago and Michael Fassbender was spectacular as Edward Fairfax Rochester. I can understand all the hype now.

MIchael got 10 minutes standing ovation when this film premiered in Venice. He deserves an Oscar but the Academy is too chicken to award such daring film.

I confirm the 10 mins standing ovation in Venice, I had the chance to be there. He looked gorgeous, as always. Yet he’s even more talented than handsome….that says quite a lot. Best actor in Venice is a clear possibility.
