The posters, which TV Line got a first look at, feature the co-stars each holding a piece of bloody fruit.
As for what fans can expect in the new season, producer Kevin Williamson recently told Collider, “The fun is the obvious, which is Damon and Elena’s relationship, and how it progresses in the pursuit for Stefan and trying to save him, if he can even be saved.”
“Damon is being thrust into this role of hero now. We saw it happening in the second season, and it’s a role he’s not good at or comfortable with,” he added.
The Vampire Diaries season 3 premiere airs Thursday, September 15, at 8/7c on The CW!

Loved Season 1. Season 2 was a build up to the moonstone. Meanwhile, it was all about Damon and Elena. I looks like Season 3 is going to be like Season 2, “The Damon Show”. Think I’ll move on to the Secret Garden. Not a shipper just got boring for me and my friends constantly being about Damon. For the record we love Bonnie and Tyler, they’re are fav’s.

I love VD but i wish it didn’t go the same direction all these vampire shows and flicks go to like how their is one girl and two hot guys are after her and she is in love with both. Like its the same it true blood Eric and Bill after Sookie and that Twilight film. I mean they could be more original and where is the Witch? they always seem to leave the other important characters out oh well they look hot <3

now its just obvious that their trying 2 copy twilight
I mean i love Delena and all but the truth is they wont be endgame because in the books she get’s with Stephen i mean that would be pretty sad and she will be like Katherine 2.0 if she ditches Stephen i mean she is already becoming like Katherine. Anyways i wish they would focus on the other characters in the new season i want to see more Stephen Klaus and Bonnie Caroline and even Tyler
