Keira Knightley & Michael Fassbender Cover 'THR'
Keira Knightley, Michael Fassbender, and Viggo Mortensen take the cover of The Hollywood Reporter‘s latest issue.
The A Dangerous Method co-stars posed with director David Cronenberg for the mag’s Toronto issue.
David revealed that he originally approached Christian Bale and Christoph Waltz to play the lead roles of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud.

“Waltz waltzed and Bale bailed,” he quips. “Christoph [had] pursued the project. He came to me to convince me to take him as Freud; his grandfather had been a pupil of Freud. [After] Inglourious Basterds, all the German money was built around him, and when he bailed, a lot of that money went as well.”
The cast recently premiered the film, which has been receiving rave reviews, at the Venice Film Festival.
A Dangerous Method hits theaters November 23!

Keira Knightley is really gorgeous. She’s amazing. That woman is incredible.
They’re already campaigning for the Oscars?
Looking forward this movie! Yummy Fassbender!!!! But i couldn’t get why David talked so harsh about Christopher? (or is it just me?) As i know Christoph Waltz left this project to do Water for Elephants. So it is a natural thing when an actor turns down the offered role to do other thing. Anyways, i like all the actors starring in this movie and also Waltz.
nice cover
I really do wonder why Christoph decided to make Water for Elephants instead of this. This project seems so ambitious while in WfE was a huge misfire. It was always going to be! Not to mention, he played a villain AGAIN. Let’s just be glad he did Carnage because he’s yet again playing a villain in The Three Musketeers.
Kiera looks fierce.
David I love you! I ADORE you! but please get out of there! loool
I want just Viggo Keira and Sassy Fasssssyyy!
Wow, awesome picture. Keira looks fierce and gorgeous, as usual.
Why on earth did Bale bail on this … imagine Fassbender and Bale: too much hotness I guess. Anyways, I still appreciate Viggo Mortensen. But still, why did Bale turn it down !!??? We’ll never know.
Ok. On second thought, I do believe that Fassbender is perfect as Freud. He has totally covinced me. So thank you Bale for waltzing on David lol.
This cast is really good, it’s just fine.
beautiful Bale would have been amazzzzing tho :)
(((Christian)))
@MangerBouger: Viggo Mortensen plays Freud not Michael Fassbender. Fassbender plays Carl Jung, Freud’s protégé.. So if Bale had not bailed he would most likely have played Jung and Viggo would still have played Freud.
Viggo!!! Now he is the real deal and still quite sexy!
It’s rare seeing him on this jaded site that seems to showcase nothing but newbie waana-be actors and people who do nothing but tweet their daily routines to their young fans.
HEY SOUP CAN!!!!! HAHA THE MAID WOULD LIKE THE PLAY JUMP ROPE WITH U!!!!! HAHAHA
LOVE,
LET’S SWING!!!!! HAHA CLIP YOUR CHICKEN WING!!!!! HAHA BUTT GOOD!!!!! HAHA TWO!!! HAHAHA HAPPY HALLOWEEN TIME KIDDIES!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Fassbender over Bale ANY day!! :D He’s lookin’ lovely as usual :-* :-*
@MangerBouger: Fassbender plays JUNG, not Freud. And maybe Christian did not want to because promotion duties would hinder him filming The Dark Knight Rises? Who knows? When actors are done with movies they have no idea when the movie is coming out so promotion duties may conflict with them moving onto their next film project.
