Aaron Sorkin Breaks His Own Nose While Screenwriting

Aaron Sorkin sports a bruised nose while attending the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards Nominee Reception on Friday (September 16) at Spectra in West Hollywood, Calif.

“I wish I could say I was in a bar fight, but I broke my nose writing,” the 50-year-old screenwriter told the L.A. Times at the event, where he met up with Desperate Housewives‘ Brenda Strong.

Aaron, who’s worked on The Social Network and Moneyball, explained he was working on a block of dialogue in the mirror when he “accidentally head-butted himself,” the paper reports.

Aaron is currently working on a new show for HBO called More As This Story Develops, co-starring Dev Patel, Olivia Munn, and Alison Pill.
