    Yes, I will.

  • kiki

fantastic! the oscar is coming your way sweet leo.

  • BarbieErin

I sure will. But please Kiki, don’t push your hopes too high. People have always claimed “that’s your Oscar, Leo”, for his last 5 main roles…. and he never got any rewards. J Edgar will be the same. Too bad.

  • Jime

do I smell severnal Oscar noms? hopefully…cause I love Clint Eastwood :D …it’s a great cast

  • Creed

Hell win an Oscar and Armie will get his first nod….*he really looked like a gay guy!

  • T

Once again Leo will have to keep begging for his Oscar cause this wont cut it. It belongs to George Clooney this year

  • Ann

    @T:

Disagree, it belongs to Fassbender for Shame.

Leo will get nominated but he won’t win. This movie looks boring.

  • Ka

I like his voice and his look. Can’t wait to see.

  • Anastasia

Leonardo start working on your Oscar speech! That seems to be a great movie,i will definitely see it!

  • Aman

I agree. I think Leo will not win an Oscar for this because it is the same type of characters over and over for him. I vote for Michael Fass

  • de Cosmos

    A definite YES!

  • carrienae

Yes! Anything film Clint Eastwood directed, I will see. His films have so much quality…..

  • YAYA

Leo is playing a real life person, so it can’t be the same as his other stuff. Yes it’s another drama and Leo will be great again. But you can tell by the voice and the aging this is new.

If Leo can’t win an Oscar for Blood Diamonds or The Departed, then maybe not for this. leo needs an english accent to win. Hollywood is loves an accent.

  • Mari

I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie. Clint Eastwood is a fantastic director and Leo is one of the best actors of our generation. Although I’d love to see him get an Oscar (I thought he should have won for his performance in Aviator), I hope the focus doesn’t become solely become whether he wins an Academy Aware or not. I’m really excited to see him play a role that that requires this kind of range (like he did in the the Aviator). Can’t wait until November!!

  • saab

Leo DiCap definitely stuck w/ that “”swollen-fat face”"!

I think Leonardo will surely get a nomination for an Academy Award. I think he’ll get a Oscar nomination at least. He is incredible and he is amazing. And I think he will get it. It’s an incredible performance, just wonderful.

    Alot sexy.

  • Allison

How is it that this man has never received an Oscar? The Academy loves actors who portray historical figures, so let’s make 2012 Leo’s year by giving him the Oscar statue that’s well overdue.

  • LondonCalling

    yuuuuuuuuu i can’t wait!

  • LondonCalling

  • sab

    Hi Everyone,
FAAAAAAAANNNTTAAAASSSSSSSSSSSTIC…..this looks soo good, the trailer has definately tantalized my tastebuds…..i cant wait to see the full version…..of course Leo has not dissappointed and delivered an outstanding portrayal….makeup and physical change aside….his voice and mannerisms, appear very realistic.
one thing that bothers me though….and i know it cant be helped..but when you wear coloured contacts (blue to brown)…the eyes loose their expression and appear dead…..i dont know if anyone has noticed this, but you cant read the eyes…..they just look glassy, any emotion just gets lost….and cant be emoted through the eyes..which i think is such an important factor when communicating with an audience (or with anyone for that matter)….so much can be said through the eyes…but watching the trailer and specifically looking into Leo’s (or Hoover’s) eyes…im not getting anything, which is a shame.
it might be a deliberate ploy from Eastwood….but……

  • You

It’s impossible for Eastwood’s movie not being nominated for Oscar. And this movie is one of them. But this year I’ll be all about Fassbender.I want him to win Oscar!

  • http://justjared Mjforever

How this man doesn’t have an Oscar is a mystery to me he wasn’t even nominated for Titanic big WTF and he deserved it for The Aviator let’s hope this year is finally his year.

  • sab

just another thought…they didnt put the kiss in the trailer did they………that would have been too good to be true….hahaha……….cant wait

  • Oxford

Yes Leo is Oscar material…. he has always been. He has been nominated several times and yes he is overdue, we know it. But we also all know how it works and it is very political in Hollywood. It’s like a political campaign in Washington DC. THe more voters you get, the more money you get, the more chances you get to win. You’ve had mediocre actors in very ordinary roles who won but they obtained a very powerful political machine. Look who was elected President of the USA in 2008. The guy who has the least experience but had a terrific PR. The medias sold their souls to push that guy ahead. We should know better.
And the answer is yes. I certainly will watch the movie, and more than once.

  • thenextbestthing

the make-up makes him look so much like Philip Seymour Hoffman. love his project choices, he will will an Oscar when the time is right. it’s not the most important thing. after all, the award wasn’t needed to make us see him as one of the best actors of all time.

  • ADL

    This is incredibly underwhelming.

Leo’s a great actor but in this trailer his accent is way off, he doesn’t seem to be 100% committing to getting into the character cause all I can see is DiCaprio and not J. Edgar. Not to mention he looks nothing like Hoover.

Hmmm, this movie looks super Oscar baity which is annoying. But Judi Dench should get a nomination.

  • Tots

thats the infamous balcony pic. god i just want to lick him all over

    my thoughts exactly….hahahaha

  • WOW!

@saab: Its called facial prosetitics not swollen fat.

  • Amy

I can see Armie Hammer getting a nomination for this.

Once again, Leo’s accent is horrible. He needs an accent coach.

  • Condessa

I loved it and yes, I’ll watch!:)

  • Hmmm…

A must see! Is it just me who likes him with brown eyes? I loved it in Body of Lies as well!

  • YUMMY

I think the main issue isn’t the Oscars. It’s obvious to me that he’ll be indicated, but I don’t care whether he wins or not (of course I want him to win, but this isn’t the main point here). We have to stop with this culture that if the actor is an Oscar-winning has to be one of the best of all time. Many actors have to receive this award to grow in the film industry… Leo is already one of the greatest. An Oscar doesn’t prove anything. We’re used year after year to attend the injustices committed by the Academy. Leo is one of the many wronged, Johnny Depp is another, so many actors who have not received yours yet… and we’re bound to see a Jennifer Hudson (for a single paper already receiving yours). That’s not fair in any way. When Leo was nominated for the first time (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape), his performance was superb, one of the best I’ve ever seen in cinema history (IMHO) and still lost, it happens. I’ll twist a lot, but as most of you here have said (very well) is all about politic… and this is horrible! This is one of the reasons I don’t give much value to this award… is a real battle between studios (and are always the same, year after year, them dominate the scene). Leo has proven for many who questioned his talent as much he loves what he does and from what I understand, with Oscar or without Oscar your dedication will remain the same… I wouldn’t expect anything different from him.

  • Tots

    @Hmmm…:
Hi Hmmm…body of lies is one of my fav leo movies…its probably the only one that i never get bored of watching……because my family originates from the middle east…i am just blown away with how he was able to master the language….and im embarrassed to say this, but his accent and pronounciation puts my attempts to shame…..
as for the eyes…….yeah..they didnt bother me in the movie….they were emotive enough i guess..especially at the end when he was looking at ayesha…….god that look was pure longing and happiness…….
i dont know about J Edgar…..it was only a trailer..but i though his eyes lacked depth and looked a bit lifeless….maybe watching the full movie will prove me wrong…only time will tell

  • YUMMY

@Tots… Yes, “Body of Lies” is amazing. Great performance and excellent accent… some people like to cling to details. The movie wasn’t so highly valued. These war films in general don’t have big box office but are always interesting to watch. This is another factor that I like in Leo, he didn’t worry about the box office only, but mainly with the story (the screenplay) the film, the director, the cast. This is the differential of Leo and of the other great actors… they care about art, not only with money.

  • Sam

I like Leo but he certainly isnt the best actor. He has looks and talent but cowers when in the midst of greats for example Daniel Day Lewis in Gangsters of New York!! Leo did such a bad job in that film it was sad and Lewis shined

  • YUMMY

@Sam… Nobody here is saying that Leo is the best, but for sure is one of the best. “Gangs of New York” is a good movie, but it isn’t one of his best (although I don’t think he’s so bad as you say). No doubt that Daniel Day-Lewis did a great job in this. Did you watch “This Boy’s Life”? Leo + De Niro… you doesn’t see Leo hiding from anyone in this film, quite the contrary. “Marvin’s Room”? “Catch Me If You Can”? “The Aviator”? “The Departed”? “Revolutionary Road”? “Shutter Island”? “Inception”? You just cited a movie. He has worked with big names the history of cinema and I never saw him being smaller than anyone of them on the screen. No wonder that the great directors want to work with him. Martin Scorsese isn’t stupid, just like Clint, Spielberg, Nolan, Sam, Baz, Cameron, Tarantino… the list goes on.

  • Gaby

It doesnt matter if he will win the oscar or not….if the oscar belongs to him, or george or brad or michael…the point is, here it is this AMAZING actor giving us another GREAT MOVIE with FANTASTIC performance…he is the best actor of his generation…and will be a legend…honestly, scorsese spend a lot time waiting for his goldman, but he always THE scorsese, and I feel the same thing about Leo.
    Great trailer, cant wait ;)

  • raven

This looks good. I want to see this.

  • The Great Eye

hello to all Leo fans :) this trailer is simply amazing, I don’t know how I will survive till the premiere of the movie :) once again I can proudly say that I will always be a fan of his talent :)
