I absolutely loathe remakes, adaptations, interpretations…whatever you want to call it. It’s just a lame excuse to say “we’ve run out of ideas and we’re lazy to think about new ones”. Of course this new version is c r a p, why would I want to listen to it when the original Deniece William’s hit is far more superior?

  • Katrina

Ummmm hello…it’s a cover. Duh. She’s fabulous. Your just jelious.

  • Philipp

Ok Jana Kramer is awesome sauce! She’s super hot, beautiful and a great singer! Nuff said!

The song might suck but you can’t deny Jana Kramer’s amazing voice. If you actually take time to listen to HER ORIGINAL song I Won’t Give Up, I’m sure you’ll fall in love with her too.

  • schmekel

The song was originally written for a specific scene in the movie. This is actually a nice punchy updated version of the #1 hit from 1984. I think the singer (Jana Kramer) puts her own stamp on it, making it her own by adding a little twang, which apparently serves the new movie well. Gotta love countrified pop songs!

  • Lupe

    Wow. Terrible.

  • Lucy

I was in the play footloose and this song is crud. If you want the good version listen to the broadway version

  • Bil

The original is much better….but this cover does have a really good ’80′s vibe.

  • Rhonda

    I love this version !
Can’t wait to see the movie

  • Hugo

terrible, much worse than the original

  • Reece

Don’t really care what the song is, she could sing me the phone book, not to mention she’s absolutely gorgeous. Jana, e-mail me if you’re ever in VA and looking for something to do.
