OlderKaty Perry: Carmen Miranda Masks in Rio!
Katy Perry has fun with photographers while landing at the airport on Thursday (September 22) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The 26-year-old singer and a friend wore masks featuring the face of legendary samba singer and Hollywood actress Carmen Miranda!
Katy is in town to perform at Rock in Rio tomorrow, before she heads to Sao Paulo for another show this weekend and Buenos Aires, Argentina this Tuesday (September 27).
FYI: Katy recently scored four MTV Europe Music Award nominations, including Best Pop, Best Female, and Best Song!

Katy Perry is really gorgeous. She’s amazing. That woman is incredible.
Carmen Miranda was not brazilian, She was born in Portugal in a town called MArco de Canavezes near Oporto. She went to Brazil later with her family.
@Ana: She was Brazilian, she is Brazilian! She considered herself as Brazilian. Her songs, her style, her accent were Brazilian. She was born in Portugal but it’s a detail, because she WANTED be Brazilian!
