Gisele recently caught a lucky break when she was pulled over in Cape Cod for going 70 mph in a 55 zone.

“[The state trooper] did give her a warning and let her go on her way,” State Police spokesman David Procopio told the Boston Herald. “He reminded her that the speed limit on the Cape is 55, not 65 as it is in other parts of the state.”

Jared, no mention of the fact that she was stopped by cops in Boston for speeding with two young children in the car.

What would’ve happened if there was an accident?

  • Truth

Okay, Jared. She had kids in the car with her at the time.

I’ve been screamed at by state troopers for doing the same speed in other states and I sure didn’t get warnings.

Then again im not gisele bundchen.

She was stopped on Rte 6 in Barnstable. This road, as anyone who drives to the Cape knows, is a main route and the traffic almost always travels at least 10-15 MPH over the posted 55mph limit. The police are posted in certain spots on weekends and if a person is traveling with the traffic and happens to be the one the police decide to target, they get pulled over. A bunch of other cars might be traveling faster …it is just the luck of the draw on that road. The police are often looking for seatbelt violations or some additional reason to give a ticket. She was in compliance with the seat belt law, the boys were buckled into safety seats, she wasn’t driving erratically and most likely has a good driving record…hence the verbal warning. The actual Stete Trooper who pulled her over stated he gave verbal warnings to 5 of the 20 cars he stopped that day. Like I said , if you drive that road on a regular basis, 65-70mph is actually the speed of most vehicles travel unless the traffic is really heavy.

right….because she’s the first, last and only person to ever get pulled over for speeding….What aside from the worlds richest most powerful supermodel, goodwill ambassador she is an inventor too? nah if you like her, don’t give her that much credit!

Hi Gayle, Hi Laura *waves* join Gisele at the gym today? you should.

  • Sharr

I think she’s the only model on the planet that has a traffic violation make headlines. That’s Gisele for ya. Been keepin public interest since 1999′.

  • Super

You beans should be more supportive. If I were from Boston I would be honored to have such an international supermodel in my town lol. The media never mentioned Boston this much before Gisele…

  • RC

It’s pretty standard that speeding up to 15 mph over the limit is winked at by the police. Ordinarily, the average speed on highways is at least 10 mph over the limit.

    This isn’t news.

@gracie: I agree, Gracie. That is absolutely the speed most people drive on Rte. 6, especially if traffic is light. During summer beach traffic, you can’t go that fast, but right now, you can. Don’t know why this is newsworthy.
