OlderAnderson Cooper Brings Alpaca to Letterman
Anderson Cooper arrives at the Ed Sullivan Theater with an alpaca named Chico on Wednesday (September 28) in New York City.
The 44-year-old Silver Fox and host of Anderson dropped by The Late Show with David Letterman to chat about his new show.
FYI: In the video below, Dave and Anderson debate whether Chico is a llama or an alpaca – llamas can be up to six feet tall, while alpacas are shorter, furrier, and typically weigh more.

This is an adorable alpaca. They are very sweet in nature! Their fleece is as soft as cashmere. They are related to the llama but do not normally spit on humans unless under extreme stress. We have a herd of over 35 and adore them all.
Is that Ben he has tied up on a leash? And, NO, he doesn’t have to come out of the closet, but can he at least act like he has some romantic interest in another human being? The guy is 44 years old for crying out loud, and he keeps telling us he is all alone!
I really hate both of them.
Yeah, because I’m sure that poor animal just loves being led around on hard, dirty cement into a noisy, bright studio. Lotsa fun, huh. NOT.
