Hugh Jackman: 'I Do The Dwayne Johnson Diet'

Hugh Jackman goes for another shirtless dip in the ocean on Thursday (September 29) at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia.

The 42-year-old Aussie actor also stopped by The Kyle & Jackie O Show on 2Day FM to promote his latest movie, Real Steel, and to share his secrets for maintaining a super fit body.

“It was so hard for me to get into Wolverine shape. Will Smith famously said it’s so much easier to stay in shape than get in shape. I’m nervous because I have another Wolverine movie coming up next year,” Hugh explained.

Asked how much weight he has to put on for the action flick, Hugh revealed, “A lot, and you have to be lean. I do the Dwayne Johnson diet. I rang him and he said [eat] 6000 calories a day – you start at 6.30 in the morning eating chicken and broccoli, and you eat every two hours.”

Hugh Jackman continues to be amazingly fit. Yes, it is indeed easier to stay in shape than to constantly try to get into shape.

Jackman is slightly bigger when playing Wolverine. However, his shoulder are ripped and his body is toned and slim.

Thank the lord that not all men have the discipline and focus that Jackman has otherwise they would all look like Gladiators.

I first found eating low fat and high protein meals every two hours to be a pain. However, after months I got used to it.

The diet plan that Jackman mentioned that Johnson told him about is the standard bodybuilder plan. It’s useless if you don’t hit the weights for three to four hours though. You have to hit the cold steel like a roaring animal. If you aren’t feeling pain and wanting more than you are not doing it right! :) Accepting pain and injury is what separates the p#ssies from the demi-gods. I admire Jackman and he deserves all the rewards that continues to come his way.

I injured my leg in a car accident and was going back and forth between the hospital. Even though I was on crutches and had headaches and severe pains. I still hit the weights one week after the car accident. I moved cold steel with every muscle accept for that leg of course. Fast forward one year later and I’m finally fully healed and three times stronger than your average man. :) That is the kind of dedication that guys like Will Smith, Hugh Jackman and The Rock are talking about.

Most would fold if they had a severe bodily injury. They would quietly cry like little babies and get out of shape. Unless you are paralized than there is no excuse and even paralized folk still hit the weights with there upper bodies. Not all men have the MENTAL STRENGTH which makes them Loserssssss. lol

Eating 6,000 calories in addition to Steroid or HGH injections will do the trick for sure. As if eating is the only key… Thank Science for hormonal boosters!
