Madonna: Super Bowl Halftime Show Performer?

Madonna is rumored to perform during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show on Sunday, February 5 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The 53-year-old Material Girl was rumored to perform at the 1998 halftime show in Miami, but a source tells SBNation that she’s in for the 2012 Super Bowl!

A spokesperson for the NFL declined to comment.

Last year, the Black Eyed Peas teamed up with Usher and Slash for a performance; other notable past performers include Prince, Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson in their infamous halftime show, and U2.

it would be a good show! i think she does great shows/performances. I don’t think she’s strong enough to sing or project that loud. Anything is better than that mess of a show last year.

This would have been awesome news twenty years ago. But Madonna is like 60 years old now and looks like the Crypt Keeper.

stfu haters she has the tour record for the highest selling solo artist 400 million in 2009. she broke her last record in a short 7 mths. I have seen her many times n she’s an amazing performance artist.

She is one of the best performers of our time.. Def would love to see her

@wtf: love adele amazing emotional voice & talent but i don’t think ballads would get anybody pumped up @ SB. she would be great for anything else bet she would kill the national anthem though.

Oh, I hope not! Nothing worse than an old hag trying to be 20 again. She is a joke! I so enjoy the super bowl game and the shows surrounding it, but I will not watch halftime if she is the performer. She can watch with the hillbilly Hank Williams Jr.
