Michelle Williams: 'My Week With Marilyn' Trailer!

Check out Michelle Williams in the trailer for her new movie, My Week With Marilyn!

Here’s the film’s official synopsis: In the early summer of 1956, 23-year-old Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), just down from Oxford and determined to make his way in the film business, worked as a lowly assistant on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl. The film that famously united Sir Laurence Olivier (Kenneth Branagh) and Marilyn Monroe (Williams), who was also on honeymoon with her new husband, the playwright Arthur Miller (Dougray Scott).

Nearly 40 years on, his diary account “The Prince, the Showgirl and Me” was published, but one week was missing and this was published some years later as “My Week with Marilyn” – this is the story of that week. When Arthur Miller leaves England, the coast is clear for Colin to introduce Marilyn to some of the pleasures of British life; an idyllic week in which he escorted a Monroe desperate to get away from her retinue of Hollywood hangers-on and the pressures of work.

She’s an amazing actress! So very professional, capable of transforming into very different genres!

Michelle may be on her way to get another Oscar nomination!

BTW, I am saddened but also very happy missing seeing Matilda.

I’ve been waiting for the trailer for this movie for months. I think Michelle is not only a wonderful choice for the role, but perfect infact. She is one of the best actresses around now, and she is able to bring a realistic element to all her roles. She will nail the raw emotion of Marylin, and from the trailer, she has nailed the look & voice. Maybe the Oscar will finally be hers.

seems just like any other Lifetime tv movie…

…Seriously, she does Marilyn NO justice! …She’s really not pretty enough. It’s just boring ole Michelle Williams in a Marilyn wig.

I can’t wait to see Eddie in this. He’s such great actor and so underrated.

Wow, she has no sex appeal at all as Marilyn Monroe!
They wasted a great opportunity to cast an unknown actress as Marilyn, and bring a new face to the big screen. There is a shortage of beautiful, young, and talented actressess in Hollywood nowadays.

This movie looks really stupid. Not that I’m a fan of Marilyn’s, because I think she was a ****** dumb blonde, neither qualities that I can stand. Having said that though, no one, including Michelle Williams can play her. There are certain people in this world who should not be portrayed in movies – Marilyn, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O. I think Sherilyn Fenn did a good job playing Elizabeth Taylor though in a TV movie back in the 90′s.

@onyx: Marilyn has plastic surgery, Michelle did not.

Thumb up Thumb down +5

@why??: That’s funny! Meryl is awesome, but I don’t think even she could do Marilyn. She could probably do the voice though.

@Rachael:

I don’t know about that mate!

Meryl Streep and Keira Knightley are strong contenders too this year!

Thumb up Thumb down +4

LoOks good. i cant wait to see it.

Thumb up Thumb down +5

not believable, she cannot convey the sex appeal part no matter how well she recite her script. You look and wonder what those paps are doing scrambling to take pics of this girl. She just cannot play Marilyn. Having say that I still think she is a great actress and I think she is cute, just completely miscast in this tole.

Why is it that there is such an OBSESSION with marilyn monroe? we just can’t let that lady rest in peace! michelle williams doesn’t look like or act like Marilyn.
