The 37-year-old actress is starring in Venuto Al Mondo, or Came Into the World, opposite Emile Hirsch.

Here’s a synopsis: A single mother (Cruz) brings her teenage son to Sarajevo, where his father died in the Bosnian conflict years ago.
Last month, Penelope filmed in Sarajevo, where security was reportedly extremely tight – reporters were only allowed to observe from afar.
