OlderAngelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Donate Toward Somali Aid
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated $340,000 to a Somali aid group.
The donation to Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid from the power couple will allow the group to expand its reach – the group currently serves 300 women and children in a camp in Mogadishu for displaced persons.
The UN states that 750,000 people are at risk of starving to death in the next few years – Somalia is currently in the midst of its worst famine in 60 years, Yahoo reports.

Aid agencies stepped up their rescue and fundraising efforts this week, as celebrities Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie donated $340,000 to help expand health services to displaced mothers and children. The Horn of Africa nation has suffered its worst famine in 60 years. In the latest “crisis situation” report from the UN, over 1,000 people a day were found to be fleeing across the border from Somalia into Kenya. UNICEF launched a new appeal (see video below) urging people to support some 13 million people in need of food in the drought inflicted #hornofafrica.

Just a comment I wanted to make since Oprah’s pic is on this page. Did anyone see her interview on ET, the pimped it for days, she was being sit down interviewed by a brunette reporter who was mostly asking azzlicking questions (she was hawking her upcoming show on OWN as well as Rosies I believe) – anyway the reporter asked her what makes her angry…Oprah thought about it, and then she said: ‘when I get lied to. Oooh, if i catch you in a lie…you will see me lose my pleasing personality. I will turn cold.’ the woman says, ‘just disassociate?’ Oprah goes, ‘yeah.’ she went on to say she values authenticity in people, and was talking about Rosie ‘that woman (referring to Aniston) has nothing to say’ O’donnell.

Maybe it’s just me…but I have a very intuitive vibe, and I got the STRONG feeling she was referring to among many who had probably disappointed her by lying to her face, Jennifer Aniston. For the simple reason that I know of at least 5 instances where she as lied DIRECTLY to oprahs’s face:
.
1) the Vince Vaughn were still together shenanigans 2) the bit about her and brad ‘don’t not talk,’ 3) lying to Oprah about the Obama change cake, and having Mayer and Oprah put her on blast..yeah Oprah was being jokey jokey, but she was serious when she called her out as a liar..and it was such an unnecessary stupid lie too, just designed to make herself look good. Ugh. 4) the ‘uncool’ comment saying that was because of what Angie said while promoting changeling, when traniston states clearly that it was because of jolie’s comment in a 2007 Vogue. ..and 5) just basically being disingenuous about that whole faux catfight issue if vogue, telling Oprah on her show ‘that it was so 100 years ago, that no one was a villain, and that she loved and admired brad,’ and then in her subsequent GQ interview, attacking Angelina all over again, essentially making a fool of Oprah having taken her word just a couple weeks before….and I’ll add a 6th disappointing disingenuous moment, Aniston pal’ing around with someone as awful as Chelsea handjob, who publicly viciously attacked Angelina….

I personally think Maniston and Oprah haven’t been tight since the Obama change cake incident….and her stalking brad and Angie to the oscars.
