OlderHugh Jackman Talks Karaoking With Robert Pattinson
Hugh Jackman shows off his biceps while taking his family’s French bulldog for a walk on Monday (October 10) in New York City.
The 42-year-old Aussie actor then headed to rehearsals for his Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway show.
Hugh recently dished about hanging out with Robert Pattinson at a karaoke bar in Japan back in 2009.
“[Director Baz Luhrmann and I] invited Rob, and he came. And it was so much fun. Man, he’s got a voice. Really soulful,” Hugh told MTV News.
“The first thing you do is you get inside this room, the doors are closed, and there’s, like, eight of you,” he recalled. “So it feels a little weird. And then all of a sudden, they open, and they bring in these boxes, which are basically [full of] dress-up [clothes], and it’s all girls’ clothes. I was a schoolgirl, Baz got dressed up, and Rob did not. He was too cool for school.”

@YAAAS HONEY!!!: Oh, poor americans…you’re so busy digging into people closets (people you don’t know in person) and not even realize that ‘someone’ puts bombs in their gardens or steals airplanes used like bombs. There are more useful things to do in your life. Some people strongly believe that even Lassie and Rin Tin Tin were gays. An endless list of people should apologize to Mr.Jackman, is like be back in McCarthy days, with a little difference that not be a witch-hunt but people see gays everywhere, even where there are NONE. Regarding this super bored karaoke story, is like the Oprah show accident, a very, very, very old news, probably never happened, in 2009. Mr. Jackman is too polite to answer “I don’t care anything about Pattinson’s voice, stop with this umpteenth broken record.”

I think some of the talk of being gay is about pride. What a disservice celebs like Ellen and Rosie did by NOT coming out earlier. Certainly, coming out hasn’t hurt their careers and probably wouldn’t hurt anyone else’s. To live a lie for public appearance is so phony. As for Hugh, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck……
