i like emma but her efforts to make herself a big moviestar are kind of annoying. The reviews of the five minutes she is on My Week With Marilyn are awful yet they’re trying to make her happen.

So is she at Oxford this term or did she fink out of that too?

How come Natalie Portman; Jodie Foster and Brooke Shields all managed to stick with their much harder Ivy League colleges and graduate ?

It’s Emma’s life, leave her be. She’s successful and intelligent and will be great at whatever she does.

Really excited for this movie. Emma really is excited about this project as its her first major one post HP.

@betsy Which reviews have you been reading, most of the reviews are saying that she was underused. Just Huffpost one said she wasn’t good. Rest of them are all praising her but yes her role is too small for a review. + She knows she has a lot to learn, said it quite a few times and going about it the right way by choosing small or supporting roles rather than going in to leading ones.

She looks great. I’m excited for this movie. I heard from certain sources that it may premiere at Sundance film festival!!!!
I hope Emma is enjoying her semester at Oxford!

Emma’s getting horrible reviews for MWWM. They say she is underused to counteract all the false advertisements. Featuring her so much in promotional videos and pictures to get the HP crowd interested. Her acting is bad so it’s not a surprise that she is getting horrible early reviews. There’s nothing about her impressive turn as the wardrobe girl. She played it so safe that she was essentially a glorified extra, unmemorable, forgettable. Dakota Fanning was in New Moon for less than 5 minutes and made a better acting debut than all the cast, apart from Michael Sheen.

    Sabrina Says:

It’s not if she can manage both (Oxford and movies)… She said she wanted to be more anonymous, to have a normal life and stuff.. she also said, for that reason, that she will only accept big or great roles…

How sad is it, hein ? There’s thousand girls, in love with acting, dreaming about acting, who will do anything for it. And there’s this great girl, Emma Watson, who has this chance and… But well, I completely understand her, she has it since her childhood…

Completely excited by Perks ! Can’t wait !

I am a huge fan of Dakota Fanning…but she wasn’t good in Twilight…Really don’t know why she picked up that project. She was also horrible in Push. Anyway its not about her…I will always remain Dakota and Elle’s fan. As for Emma…she is getting good reviews and I think she is a good actress with potential to work on her weaknesses with good directors. She is an expressive person which is her strongest point. Anyway I hope she does an excellent job in Perks.

    betsy Says:

@ashley: oh my god you really know nothing about expressive faces! To say that Emma is an expresive person is disrespectful, seriously. The girl only works with her eyebrows, her eyes are dead and she’s only getting parts because she hasa huge fan base… if she was a normal actress(without the HP thing working for her) fighting for roles you wouldn’t know her name because she wouldn’t be getting roles. She’s not good at this, she was good in the first HP movie because she was a kid and kids are the best actors because they’re not inside their heads all the time and in the last one she was quite decent because she’s been working on her craft but still she can’t compete with the rest of the girls her age. she will keep getting roles for a few years but that’s all.

    Jeremy Says:

@betsy: trust me you are way out of your depth when it comes to assessing who is or who is not a good actor. Sure you don’t like Emma Watson, no-one said you have to.

    Lisa Says:

    Emma is soooooooo AWESOME !

    Vivien Says:

Emma got excellent reviews for Deathly Hallows, and her role in MWWM is small, but I have only ever read one bad review for Emma, most reviews have been positive.

    ME Says:

    @Yea:

Underused is a good thing. It means the critics thinks she should have had more screen time and that the director didn’t use her enough.

    Dani Says:

Betsy, you’re just a Emma’s hater. Shut up.
