Older'The Walking Dead' Premiere: Highest Ratings Yet!
AMC’s killer zombie drama, The Walking Dead, pulled in a series high during Sunday night’s season two premiere. Over seven million total viewers tuned in for the first episode of the thirteen episode season!
The show re-aired twice that night, bringing in an additional four million viewers, upping the number to eleven million total tune-ins.
These numbers broke records with adults ages 18-49, who are reportedly tuning into The Walking Dead more than any other basic cable series ever to be aired, according to Entertainment Weekly!
The season one finale brought in six million viewers last year.
“The Walking Dead is one of those rare television programs that reaches both a core genre fan as well as broad audiences simply looking for a great, character-based story,” AMC president Charlie Collier said.

I watched it.
Enjoyed the show last night!! It was intense, scary, creepy at the beginning of the show. After that, it concentrated more on some of the characters. I hope next week’s would be creepier and scarier!
I love this show, but agree with gere … last night’s episode was dragging. Definitely not the best episode.

I saw bits and pieces.good but..it was on aaaaall daaay loooonggggg…and I have ADD, can’t sit still for that long.

haha. I stopped watching after the first season. But mostly because I didn’t have cable in grad school….sucks to be broke. I might netflix to catch up.
The ending was eff’d up. Very sad, I hate seeing violence against animals and children. I did like the episode though.
It’s a love triangle in the middle of a zombie apocalypse ie it will appeal to both men and women.
It’s like “I am legend” but better, it’s not a zombie movie it’s TV SERIES!!! and the main character is white!
I love watching zombie movies and I can’t believe how great this show is!! Because of the cinematic quality to it as well as having such a talented actors!!!
The zombies’ makeup are freaken scary and very well made!!!
I can’t wait for them to tell the story of the half-body female zombie that Rick had to kill at the end of Episode 1. And I hope they tell the story of the little zombie girl from the beginning of Episode 1….
