    what is this stupid idiot protesting, 1 year paid maternity leave, socialized healthcare, Canadian banks NOT needing a bailout……….

    I don’t know why the public allows celebrity their hypocrisy, all of them want millions of dollars to read lines in front of a camera , while people behind the film and TV industry make peanuts so the ‘ stars’ and the studios can make millions, the industry will make a movie or show anywhere it can get a tax credit, getting free money from tax payers, even if a move makes hundreds millions of dollars, it’s renowned for uses interns so they don’t have to pay people for work, and all of them can think of either getting free stuff or hacking a product or showing up to an event make even more money…… while living lives other can you dream of.

    @ed, 1 year paid maternity leave? In Ontario? You sure?

    Ann Says:

    Although Canada is not in deeper sh-t than Europe and the US there’s no denying that if those places get screwed then we’re done as well. It’s the fact that banks have control over the government that’s the issue and it’s a global problem, recession or no recession.

    Shes so beautiful and she really works hard for the money!

    Dee Says:

    Yeah in Canada it varies from province to province, but in Ontario, you’re allowed 1 year off (maternity or paternity leave) and the government supplements a certain part of your income. We’re quite lucky.

    everyone needs to back off celebrities joining the “occupy” movement. i am so proud of them for doing what they believe in. how do any of you know they wouldn’t give up their money in a heartbeat to help? how do you know they don’t support higher taxes for themselves? you don’t, so back off.

    Another post of mine about Capitalism does not make it to the list. I’m beginning to wonder if this site might lean towards Communism. What happened to freedom of speech. I guess it is not honoured by JJ who profits from us but does not want to adhere to the laws and principals of this country and allow us to post our true thoughts. Talk about censorship. Wow.

    @ha ha:

    Speak for yourself!
    This is an inclusive movement and its not about class warfare, its about getting the banks and Wall Street AWAY from Government and to keep the corruption out of our politics. The bailouts showed you how bought all the politicians are and there needs to be a seperation of these powers and monied interests!

    Jacko Says:

    Yeah – go ahead and protest against those BIG, BAD corporations; those same corporations that finance, market and distribute the Hollywood blockbuster films that you make your millions from. Absolutely unbelievable how ridiculous Rachel and her other Hollywood dimwits appear, joining such protests.

    CONNIE Says:

    @Halli and Ann grow up… banks control nothing it’s governments that make the rules and have have the ability to print money from nothing.

    I rather have capitalism, then what these people have in store for us.

    why are people being so rude? just because she works in the entertainment industry and makes good money for herself does not mean she’s a part of those big bad co-orperations who are oppressing you. it just means she has a job. chill out ppl.

    David Says:

    yo dudes, don’t hate just because the girl’s got a good job and makes good money. i think she’s cool for joining the protest. she obviously pays attention to politics. unlike other celebrity bimbos.

    Danielle Says:

    So because she makes money, she shouldn’t protest in a cause she believes in? That makes so much sense. Thanks for enlightening me with your stupid hard pressed comments against her. I’d be more concerned about people that ***** about the issues and do nothing about it but hide behind an alias on the internet to slam someone who actually takes a stand for something but hey that’s just me.

    she is not a real person, real people are in the ‘hood” not Hollywood, and work hard for a fraction of what her and other celebutards make for doing practically nothing (unless you call red carpet appearances, shopping, being spotted at airports, expensive dining, u get the idea is hard work) they should stay away. they have no clue what real labor is like, no worries about recession, health insurance, mortgages, tuitions, etc. movies are a rip off costing tons of cash for watching tons of ads! she is there for PR, and was just prob in the neighbor”hood”, not her usual Hollywood”

    If you’re so pissed at celebs making millions of dollars, then DON”T GO TO WEBSITES LIKE THESE. WHy do you complain that they aren’t more important than anyone else, yet you want to know what they’re doing every second of the day?

    @ha ha:

    Maybe you should do some research before criticizing her. She lives in Toronto not Hollywood and the picture was taken by a fan not the paparazzi. Do you see her smiling at the person taking the picture? Uhm-No. So you best think before you speak, Ha.Ha

    @Dee: where I live we get 3 months maternity leave! I dont know the rest of the states Canada should be so lucky!
