Dylan McDermott & Connie Britton Cover 'EW'

American Horror Story stars Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, and Rubber Man take the cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s latest issue.

Here’s what the stars of the FX series had to share:

Connie, on being cast first: “What appealed to me initially was actually my conversation with [co-creator Ryan Murphy]. He was like, ‘You’re going to play something you’ve never played before. You’re going to play something we’ve never seen before.’ We had this great conversation about the dark side of marriage and deception. I read the script and I was like, ‘Um … whaat? I Don’t understand. I kind of took a leap of faith.”

Dylan, on the show’s dark weirdness and edge: “To me that’s the genius of Ryan. Everybody is just trying to be generic, and he is pushing the boundaries. You may hate the show. You may love the show. But you’re going to talk about the show.”

My husband and I LOVE this show! It has a lot of the same dark brilliance that Nip/Tuck had.

Abbi…I agree.

I became a fan of Murphy after Nip/Tuck which I think REALLY put FX back on the map and shook things up on tv.

This show is so damn awesome and the casting is brilliant.
From Jessica Lange to my man—Dennis O’Hara—-better known to TrueBlood fans as Russell Edginton—their acting is wonderful.

Dylan and Connie have great chemistry and did you know that the young lady who plays their daughter is –Vera Farmiga’s sister…she awesome!

Good show!

i love american horror story it’s my new favoraite show because dylan mcdermott’s in it he’s my faoraite actor in the whole world he’s so dreamy and handsome i hope this show gets a second season next year.

I hardly watch any network shows. AHS is just a mess, an entertaining mess, but a frantic, poorly directed and edited mess nonetheless. There’s a way a show of that nature could have worked, but Ryan Murphy is such a bi-polar hack that it inevitably ended up being crap. Connie Britton is talented actress who deserves better.
