Lady Gaga Accepts the Big Man of the Year Award

Lady Gaga goes all black as she walks into the Edison Ballroom on Thursday (October 21) in New York City.

The 25-year-old superstar was honored that night with the Big Man of the Year award for her work in music education at the Little Kids Rock benefit.

Gaga received the award from the wife of Clarence Clemmons, who played the saxophone solo in “The Edge of Glory,” and passed away this past summer.

“My first experience with music was my father playing a vinyl of the E Street Band,” Gaga said in her acceptance speech.

“I knew every time the song played that my grandpa was looking down and thanking me [for]… the gift I had given to my father by having Clarence on that record,” Gaga continued.

“There is no edge when it comes to Clarence‘s glory,” she finished.

It is a shame that she still refuses to look and dress normal. She could be so hot if she wanted to.

That’s kinda the point she’s trying to make, you don’t have to conform to standards to be considered beautiful. She doing it in an odd ball way, but it’s still a good mesage to send out.

@Cee Lo Red: what she’s wearing now is pretty normal compared to what she used to wear

@Sara12: The message she seems to send out is ”Hey guys everyday we can play dress up” Sorry but their is nothing original about her look it’s obvious she is copying Audrey Hepburn with this look

@Put your paws down B!itch: “Hey guys everyday we can play dress up”- You may not have realized how deep that concept was when you wrote it like that. Everyday we wake up we play a twisted form of dress up, morphing ourselves to fit society’s image of what a “sane” individual should look like. How different would we dress if we knew no one would demean us, scorn us, degrade us for what we wore? This is where I find Gaga inspiring- she has that bravery, and she has brought that underground culture of extreme self-expression up to the mainstream.

This is normal for GG. Choice is her style. And style is she!

Lady Caca @ 11/17/2011 at 1:07 pm

The only message Lady Caca’s sending is this : “Do not be yourself. Do not just be your normal human self. Wear wigs, Halloween costumes, and sunglasses to cover your face 24/7. Be everything and everyone except your own self.”

lol………. Lady Caca is a f*cking monstrosity of a mess.
