    Evita Says:

    “He doesn’t look like Che.”

Ricky plays Che, NOT Che Guevara.

“Che Guevara is not in Evita.
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice wanted to use a narrator who would be involved and so they made up Che, named after Che Guevara, who was a political extremist, just as Che is the musical is, but they did not really base the character on Che Guevara. Che acts as the voice of the people.”

    Colombiana Says:

He only got the role because he is a light-skinned P.Rican and not to objectionable looking to Argentinians. They would have never accepted a brown/black Puerto Rican just ask Zoe.

@Marianne: Eva actually starts off as a brunette… throughout the show, the more successful she becomes, the more blonder she becomes!!!

Michael Cerveris would be the ONLY reason to see this show. He’s an OUTSTANDING talent.

I like Ricky Martin…but this might be a huge casting mistake:

I think he’s too good-looking for the role. Call me crazy, but I really think Che should not be so distractingly cute. It’s got mis-cast all over it.
