Michelle Williams: 'My Week With Marilyn' Poster!

Check out Michelle Williams in this poster for her new film, My Week With Marilyn!

“While we were filming, something came out in the National Enquirer that a psychic had spoken to [Marilyn Monroe] and that she approved of what we were doing and she thought I was doing a really good job. So maybe she likes it!” the 31-year-old actress recently told E! Online.

Michelle shared that she studied tapes to prepare for the role but still had to creatively come up with ways to channel the Hollywood legend.

“There’s really nothing that exists of her, that I could find anyway, that exists of her having a conversation with a friend. So there wasn’t a template that existed for her everyday vocal pattern, so at a certain point you have to make it imaginatively,” Michelle said.

    Sorry but Marilyn was hardly an inspiration she abused drugs and alcohol which then ended her life sure she was talented but i would hardly call her an icon she had beauty and was a troubled women who in the end was nothing but a druggy

    It’s really a shame that Heath became addicted to crack filming . Imagine what could have been, but to quote Freddy ‘Who want’s to live forever?’

    @Put your paws down B!itch:

    I’m not really a Marlyn fan and I think she is massively overrated, but she obviously had unresolved mental health issues her whole life but she and anyone dealing with these major problems with depression aren’t just “druggy’s”, they and their problems are much bigger than what they use to dull their pains.

    Michelle is a much better actor than Ledger in my opinion. Anyone dying of a drug overdose is tragic, but I think the lionization of Ledger as one of the greatest actors of this or any generation is a way overblown. His body of work, small as it is, doesn’t bear that out.

    The movie is alright. i think michelle williams is a good fit for marilyn monroe, but i won’t watch the movie because emma watson is in it. no way.. just ruins the movie really.

    Liz Says:

    Wow! That poster really reflects the duality in Marilyn: the sensitivity, and the sensuality. Great job Michelle!

    marilyn Says:

    According to Gloria Vanderbilt, her friend Marilyn has not been portrayed well by anyone.

    SAY WHAT??? Says:

    IN WHAT WAY A POSTER IS “REFLECTING” DUALITY AND SENSITIVITY???!!! IT’S A F**KING POSTER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!
    PEOPLE SAY THIS KIND OF **** ALL THE TIME…GRRRR, IT GET ON MY NERVES!

    @kimota:
    Heath Ledger is the reason that Michelle Williams has any career in the
    first place. She manipulated her way into receiving the part of the wife in Brokeback Mountain and from there she planned to trap Heath
    when he came home from filming Casanova. He hardly knew this clingy
    loser. Hollywood has to stop considering her as being some slam dunk at the box office because most people can’t stand her acting and she most certainly is not Marilyn Monroe material. I am disgusted with Simon Curtis.
