I don’t understand why it is being filmed in Australia. It is a classic American novel set in the U.S.
hay man you boring
@5
You have brother name ben
I love period movies. And a story coming from one of the greatest American classic novels sounds very exciting.
I’m now reading this novel. I havnt watched the previous version of movie. But with Leo, I’m sure this one will be the best.
@Ken Affleck: Because the director is an Australian. Same reason for R and J.
They look great. Cant wait to see!
Well done, JJ. Please show us more photos of Leo. Thanks.
Is being filmed in Australia because taxes are lower than in the U.S.
That was what I read.
You think they went to Casablanca to make Casablanca? Hollywood has been filming iconic foreign stories with foreign characters in their own backyard since the dawn of cinema. It’s what the American film industry was built on! Now suddenly you’re complaining because an American book is being filmed somewhere else? It’s so hypocritical.
baz luhrman is australian, his production co is in sydney.
thats why.
