Cafe Med is a part of the Bice Italian Restaurants – the food is great! But with a view like Mr. Butler at lunch, how the heck could you enjoy your Pasta Bolognese!

  • angelsrock

Just when you least expect it…a new Gerry thread! Looking cool, calm, and collected, dude!!! Seems things are going your way at the moment. Hope you’re over the fact that MGP got $krewed here in the states!!!

  • Can’tGetEnough

    Great pics! Looking good Gerry!!

  • I’m laughing…

…at the *cough* rooster hat. The old one must have fallen apart by now – he has a new one.

  • Autumn

@angelsrock: Hi AngelsRock! Nice pictures, huh?

I think the Goorin Bros. Rooster/Cock hats are funny – they also represent the Chinese New Year birth sign for 1957,1969, 1981 – I think Mr. B’s birth year may be 1969. Who knows? I’m an Ox in the Chinese New Year – oh well!

Nice to have a new thread!
    Good night all! Autumn

Yes, GB was born in 1969. Will be 42 in two weeks. Never considered taht reason for wearing rooster hats.

  • Dragonette

I like that he’s committed to the rooster motif.

I’m not even going to pretend to know what’s going on with this shirt situation right here lol. Awesome.

  • Try sitting ina office allday

Hi L, its been a while. How are things ? Have you had a chance to see MGP?
G looking great as always- relaxed & hopefully happy.

  • bystander

@Dragonette: or the ‘white’ trainers and black socks situation!

  • Mel

Gross , he needs to shower

  • bystander

    Uncalled for.
But, when left to ‘dress himself’ casually, Mr B does sometimes make a dogs breakfast of it!
Enough superficial comment. I’m off to do an honest day’s work . Hope all on the US east coast keep safe in their unseasonal weather.

  • http://buzznet.,com susan kent

who is the guy having lunch with g.b.

@Try sitting ina office allday: Try, good to hear from you. I’ve settled into my new place and finally everything is organized. I haven’t seen MGP because it is nowhere to been found in the western New York area. I am so disappointed with the way they have treated that movie. I don’t know if it is some kind of weird promotion that keeps people asking why it is not showing up in their hometowns or if they just wanted it to go directly to DVD here in the US. I hope all is well with you, and I hope you got to see MGP. Take care and have a wonderful day.

  • Joie de Vivre

Thanks, yes! I would love some Butler with my coffee. He seems to be in a good place. Splendid!

@lolita: Hope you are well Miss Lolita!

    @angelsrock: @Autumn: Have a lovely day, neighbors!

@Lisa S. Hope your week is going well and you are getting back to a little normalcy. Positive thoughts and prayers are with you, love!

@Can’tGetEnough: Hope you are digging out and all is well.

Everyone, have a good day and week. I’m off to Philadelphia for a conference. Be safe and happy and good! XXO

  • Nuts

MGP played in Buffalo for just one week. It was at the Dipson Amherst Theater across from UB’s south campus. I saw just one showing. And there were, perhaps, 10 other people in the theater.

  • she

@Nuts: I was wondering when will you show up…so we will celebrate here your birthday too.

  • @ Susan Kent

@susan kent: It looks like his pal Arial Vroman.

  • GerrysFascinatingWoman

He acted to change his life and his destiny; they acted to protect him and give him faith to believe in himself. Together, they’re successful. He is finally free.

  • Can’tGetEnough

@Joie de Vivre: Thanks for the kind words Joie! Dug out, but still no power on Day 4. Still running power and heat off of the generator so I’m grateful for that!
What part of the country are you from?? I’m only an hour from Philly. I spend afternoons there once in awhile. Always something to see and do. I finally had my first Philly cheesesteak last week at Geno’s. It was good, but not fantastic.
Enjoy your conference and travel safely!!

  • Piper

As a lurker, I just have to say I’m loving the atmosphere here lately. Perhaps some of the folks who left will return now that it is more pleasant. I have missed you Nuts. and I do miss Cora and Gossiphound as well.

  • Hollywood Gossiper

@lolita: MGP did hit Buffalo for a week maybe 2 but perhaps that was still too far from you.

  • dmp

What a great Halloween treat . . . way better than chocolate. Lookin’ good GB!

  • Aqua

@ dmp I’m sticking with the chocolates. They never disappoint and is always there when you need it.

  • Truth

So love the co@k (rooster) hats. Butler looks really cool and relaxed here good look for him. I love his scruffy every day look. So manly!

Those hats are subliminal messages that he is the head co@k in the chicken coop. Such a stud!

  • God Bless yoou all!

We are all God’s children in the end, regardless of our opinions. He loves us all.

Lolita, It’s one of my favorites as well.

    Ecclesiastes 3:11
    New International Version (NIV)
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

  • dmp

Ha, very good point . . . maybe I should reconsider; but like chocolate GB is addictive.

Oh no, a new rooster hat has emerged . . . maybe a huge gust of wind will come along and blow that hat far, far away . . . although he probably has a reserve.

  • Aqua

I prefer the beanie hat myself but he has as many hats has women have pairs of shoes,he has one to fit his every mood and occasion.

  • PsychoB

@bystander: Oh boy, that a sign of getting old G, better watch out no 20 year olds want to be seen with a guy wearing black dress socks and white shoes.

At least this hat is a little more fashionable than the last co/ck hat

  • GerrysFascinatingWoman

Don’t think he dressed up this year. (To me) it’s another display of his increasing maturity. Not that dressing up is immature, it’s not, just think he’s happier now so didn’t need to.

  • she

@God Bless yoou all!: I love this book too

  • Try sitting ina office allday

@lolita: Hey L, good 2 hear from you as well. Agree, what a shame about MGP. I’ve heard nothing in Australia about the movie. I don’t understand what has gone wrong ?? i’ll wait for DVD IF I HAVE 2 but was hoping 2 see it on the big screen. Gerry has spoken of the disappointment when a movie does not do well. All the lost time & energy -Wonder what he thinks about the lack of promotion? anyway, have a great day/night.

  • N.

Fewer trick or treaters this year – don’t know why and I ended up with tons of candies which I can do without.
Mr. Butler please come out from behind the shades and the hat and disarm yourself from your only weapon of anonymity. I always wear sunglasses when going out because they afford me some kind of shielding and a sense of freedom. Funny.

  • dmp

It really is too bad about the promotion for MGP . . . hopefully, though, this is all somehow part of a plan . . . otherwise it’s just baffling. Not only does this movie deliver a profound message but it is also a great platform to showcase GB’s wide range of acting skills . . . you are really drawn in to what the character is going through. Although I’m somewhat partial to his earlier work in “Please,” “Shooters,” “The Jury,” and “Dear Frankie” I think MGP showed he still has it in him.

  • angelsrock

My 28 year old son went with a few friends to see this since I told him so much about it. They loved it. He was just asking me how it’s doing and I told him what has happened. He couldn’t believe it. He thought it was one of the best movies he’s seen in a long time, and he’s a frequent movie-goer.

  • lolita

@Joie de Vivre: Joie, doing well, thanks. Hope your world is doing fine also.

  • lolita

@Nuts: Oh Nuts, I can’t believe I missed it. I should check out UB more often, they are always bringing in a variety of different acts in that area for the school population.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NUTS,♥ Hope it was a great one.

  • lolita

@Hollywood Gossiper: No Amherst, is just a short distance from where I live. I could kick myself for missing it. I was moving and I just was so busy and I didn’t see any ads for it. Thank you for responding.

  • lolita

@Try sitting ina office allday: Try, I missed it here when it made a brief stop. I have a feeling Gerry knew this was going to happen to the movies distribution, maybe not quite to this extent. He worked hard on this and it was an emotional drain and then to see it put on the wayside. At least he knows his fans put up a fight to get more showings. Keep on the look out it may come your way soon.
    Best to you always!!

  • aimee

Just got back in from the preview screening of MGP.All I can say is it was definately worth the wait.Great movie. It looks like it is going to do much better here in the UK….150+ people there tonight.

  • niknoks

I get the feeling there are way more screenings in the UK than the US, it opens tomorrow at my local cinema, just one showing in the evening until next week when it is four showings a day, which is a blessing for me working shifts. I’ll be going to see it next week when I get off nights.

  • Autumn

@curious cat: Hey C Cat! Could be he’s advertising something other than the Chinese Year of his Birth? One can only hope. Sorry perverse gutter humor today.
