Ridiculous. Almost as many hits as MJ and Madonna, without the memorable songs or legendary status. In the past it was a lot harder to achieve #1 singles on the Hot 100. Now digital singles sales play a big factor in chart position. It’s good that chart position is determined by what people actually want to pay for, rather than what a radio programmer decides to play. But, at the same time, it makes comparing the two eras unfair. I can only imagine how many more #1s MJ, Madonna and others would have had with the current Hot 100 formula.

Congrats Ri Ri! 11 #1 Singles, 3 of which weren’t even your own, none of which you actually wrote or produced and STILL no #1 album. Now that’s legendary status! Bravo! ;)

@Mila: you better take your nostalgic ass to the record store with that

nostalgic? nope. i just like good music, not this fake sounds from computer. erykah badu – she is a good singer, cocorosie – they have a character, but god, please listen what she sings about: come here rude boy is you big enough – haha. but singing about stupid tings is rihannas style yeey!
