The story, written in the 1940s and lost for 50 years until it was recovered and published, “is set in New York when Gotham was emerging from the trauma of World War II and centers on an 18-year-old girl breaking free of her rich, smothering, family to discover her own identity and sexuality,” Variety reports.

Scarlett Johansson is really gorgeous and very talented. Good for her to land her first film as director. She’ll be an incredible director, just wonderful.

# 2

The smart women in hollywood direct real feature films, the not so bright ones, direct Glamour short movies.

# 3

don’t like her , but she’s talented as an actress.

# 4

Really Scarlett?

# 5

She will be 27 years old, November 22

I like Scarlett Jo !

She’s a good actress. It’ll be interesting to see if she can actual pull off a good movie from the director’s chair. It’s crazy to think f how many actors become great directors (De Niro, Affleck, Reitman, Clooney)

Why would anyone let her direct? She is an actress but that doesn’t mean she can direct. All actors like to think they can but few actually could if they tried. Her career has been based off of mostly her pretty appearance….in the directors chair her pretty face won’t help her.
She is a good enough actress but shouldn’t direct until she gets proper experience. Sean Penn directs so I guess after dating him she got this idea.

I love Scarlett.. but arent there enough Truman Capote movies?

#2 Hilda, just thinking the same thing. Why did someone tell Barbara Streisand she would explode if she couldn’t direct, yet hasn’t been offered a real film nor with her millions can’t finance a project.? Yet, Scarlet manages to get a major directing gig. Just shows some people prefer to talk and never walk the walk.

I hope she’s a better director than an actress. Personally, I don’t think she’s a very good actress but somehow she keeps getting all these plum roles.
