Kit Harington: King Arthur in 'Arthur and Lancelot'!

Kit Harington has landed the lead role of King Arthur in the upcoming Warner Bros film Arthur and Lancelot, according to Variety!

The 24-year-old Game of Thrones actor will begin filming the piece sometime in early 2012. The Killing‘s Joel Kinniman is set to play Lancelot, with David Dobkin serving as writer, director, and producer.

Kit and Joel were reportedly the two frontrunners for the roles. Kit beat out his Game of Thrones co-star Richard Maddon as well as Sam Claflin for the coveted part.
