Chloe Moretz Covers 'Asos' January 2012

Chloe Moretz rocks a vintage ’80s Lacoste jacket on the cover of Asos‘ January issue.

Here’s what the 14-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On having two sides: “There’s the friend Chloe, the actress Chloe. When I’m talking about work, I’m more conscious and listen to what I say, I guess you have to be. I’m in a business you can’t be a little kid in, or you don’t make it far. I’ve learned a lot from my mom. She’s a strong business woman.”

On her relationship with her mom: “My mom’s smart, she knows what’s going on. I’m in the sort of business where anything could happen. I respect her for being strict, even though we fight about it.”

On memorizing her older brother’s monologue recordings for New York’s Performing Arts School: “The lines would just jump into my head. My mom would get calls from the school like, ‘Why is your daughter talking about killing someone?’ but I’d just memorized the monologue.”

I’m glad to see this magazine gave Chloe an age-appropriate photo shoot, which is sadly rare these days with young actresses. Too bad they had to ruin it with the fur jacket.

See, these are the types of photoshoots from 14 year olds that I enjoy! Just a kid being a kid.

“I’m in a business you can’t be a little kid in, or you don’t make it far.”

That is the saddest thing I’ve ever read. Love the pictures though.

  • Ethan

@Anna: reality saddens you? She needs to be mature about how she approaches acting and her career, Doesn’t mean she can’t be a normal kid once she’s not in front of the camera.

Loved the photos. She looks absolutely adorable. Nice to see her wearing more age appropriate clothes.

  • cam

One of the best photo shoots she’s done. Love it! She was fantasic in Hugo. Everyone should see it.

  • Kirsten

Beautiful and talented girl! I like that this photoshoot is age-appropriate for her.

Hello there, why don’t you take a seat over here.

Why don’t you take a seat over here and we can talk.

    @Chris Hansen:
GE’s war on sex was one of the greater evils perpetrated on the United States. Jeffrey R. Immelt, GE CEO, looted this nation while running the hysteria of NBC/MSNBC’s 24/7 psyops war-on-sex, as cover. Charles Keating, perfected the art of that distraction when he attacked pornography as an all-out moral panic/crusade, while he simultaneously looted Lincoln Sabvings and Loan of over a $billion. Enron used the same technique. GE lied that it would return some of the ill-begotten $billions to the public. Of course that was a dodge, a ruse, they never did. They have transferred sensitive technology to other countries such as China and Immelt has admitted, GE has no allegience to any country, but only to the bottom line. Meanwhile, all of the victims of that mainstream media’s brainwashing, continue to cling to those sex-hysteria programmed belief-sets like so much Stockholm syndrome.

“Conatus”, means will to live, the survival instinct. It equates to desire. Ipso facto, want of desire equates to lack of will to live. Want of desire is the hidden horseman of the appocalypse, beyond war, famine, plague and pestilence.

Warren is a good writer. He seems a very healthy warm-blooded young male.

there’s something perverted about this pics.. The girl looks like a kid being sold in an expensive toy store. The open mouth pics, the fur, the bubble gum and open legs one tell the whole story. Warren is right, the pics put emphasis on her childish ‘assets’

Thank you for continuing the streak of at least one mindbogglingly inane comment in every Moretz article here. I was getting worried there for a moment.

  • Humbert Humbert

Chlolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Chlo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Chlo. Lee. Ta. She was Chlo, plain Chlo, in the morning, standing five foot four in one sock. She was Chlo in slacks. She was Chloe at school. She was Chloe Grace on the dotted line. But in my arms she was always Chlolita.

    Bring on the remake!

All meant in good fun. I do have to say, Nabokov was one hell of a writer.
