Kirsten Dunst Covers 'C' Magazine December 2011
Kirsten Dunst graces the cover of C‘s December issue.
Here’s what the 29-year-old actress had to share with the mag:
On winning the Best Actress award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival for Melancholia: “Pretty epic. That’s a special award. No one’s getting anything because of any political reasons, especially in my case because of what happened [with director Lars Von Trier's Hitler comment]. I felt such gratitude to experience it at 29 and be able to take in the moment of being up there. Robert De Niro says, ‘The Best Actress goes to Kirsten Dunst.’ That’s a big thing, to have Bobby D. say that.”
On her career goals: “I don’t want to be another blonde actress that’s on the page of Hollywood boring. I don’t want to be part of a safe group. All the women that I look up to were never part of that, and they’ve had the longest careers.”

I really like her. She seems cool.
why doesn’t she shut her mouth The Cannes award isn’t as prestigeous as it used to be it’s just another statue that sits on a book shelf of Mantle piece collecting dust and providing an ego boost to do nothing actors a good majority of the time. unlike 1973 for example when Joanne Woodward won best actress and deservedly so the Character she won for is so opposite of her in real life that it put a strain on her marriage and relationship with her daughters & step children.
Cute. Hate i don’t get to see her here!
@Courtney: Every interviewer since May has been asking Kirsten about her win and will probably keep on asking until Oscar night. That’s what happens when an actor promotes a film with Oscar buzz. Regarding the Cannes best actress award, IMO it is very prestigious considering it’s awarded by the #1 film festival in the world. Previous wiinners include Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep. Sally Field, Penelope Cruz, and Juliette Binoche. They all won after 1973 btw. And I doubt their awards are collecting dust in their bookshelves.
Good try
So pretty! Damn!
beautiful. i take cannes more seriously than the oscars anyhow, especially with the recent awards given out. i feel as if the deserving were robbed lol
I like intriguing dark and dramatic actresses like her..
Oh dear. I LOVE this girl. She’s mysterious and talented. I’ve loved her sincemy childhood. I grew up watching her movies and I’m proud to say I’m a fan of hers. She’s a doll. I think she looks marvellous<3
