Daniel Day-Lewis: Abraham Lincoln in New Biopic

Daniel Day-Lewis channels Abraham Lincoln as he takes a break from filming and goes out to lunch on Wednesday (November 30) in downtown Richmond, Virginia.

The 54-year-old English actor last starred in Nine and There Will Be Blood.

In Lincoln, a new biopic of the 16th president of the United States, Daniel stars opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, and Lee Pace.

Steven Spielberg is directing the project, based on the biography of Lincoln written by Doris Kearns Goodwin.

Lincoln is set to be released in December of 2012.

Don’t forget double oscar winner Sally Field is playing Mary Todd Lincoln as well. I predict multiple Oscar wins for this film!

@Jess: That is exactly what I said. Daniel Day-Lewis is IMO the most talented actor. I only realized a year or so ago he is the same guy who is Last of the Mohicans and Gangs of New York. I wanted to find out who played Bill and was reading about Daniel and saw he was in LOM…I was like….wow. So good I didn’t even realize it. He looks so much like Abe right now it’s creepy. Damn good actor!
