Noomi Rapace: I Threw Up After Playing Lisbeth Salander

Noomi Rapace glams up for a photo shoot with BlackBook for its December issue.

Here’s what the 31-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On playing Lisbeth Salander in 2009’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo: “I felt like she lived in me. My Lisbeth was my Lisbeth. I gave her my life and my soul for one-and-a-half years, and then I was finished. I’m so done with her.”

On throwing up after her last scene: “My whole body was just kind of throwing Lisbeth out of me. I was like, I don’t know who I am anymore! It’s like you’ve loaned yourself to someone else.”

On the new Lisbeth, a role played by Rooney Mara: “I’m pretty sure that they will do something completely different with her.”

You can catch Noomi on the big screen next Friday, December 16, when Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows hits theaters!

Noomi’s performance as Lisbeth was one of the finest performances I have ever seen. She is phenomenal and I wish her every success in her career in the United States. It’s also lovely to see her looking so beautiful and without Lisbeth’s makeup!

I think Rooney Mara is having similar issues with the Lisbeth character. It’s a pretty heavy character.

Why can’t Americans go and watch a movie with subtitles and don’t destroy perfect European films??!
Who would in Europe go to see a movie just seen 1-2 years ago?

I agree with all the comments made about Noomi Rapace, talented, gorgeous outside her role as Lisbeth, and she learned English in a year!
She is a Wow Woman that has a great future in the film industry and glad for her success. Long live Noomi!
