Rooney Mara graces the cover of Dazed & Confused‘s January issue, out next week.
The 26-year-old actress posed for photographer Glen Luchford and opened up to the mag about playing Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, saying she’s “always been drawn to darkness.”

Rooney and co-star Daniel Craig are giving fans the chance to bid on two tickets to the Dragon Tattoo premiere held December 14 at NYC’s Ziegfeld Theater!

All proceeds from the winning bid will benefit Make It Right, which helps build sustainable homes for Hurricane Katrina victims in New Orleans and teens transitioning out of foster care in Newark and Kansas City.

I don’t even know why this girl suddenly graces all the major fashion magazines. She landed her first Vogue cover when she did nothing special and her GWTDT hasn’t even been released yet. And probabaly she will have her Oscar nom this year. Her PR team really works hard. Anyways, she doesn’t seem as an interesting person for me.

This may be unfair, but is fate. Noomi surely will have the Oscar nom if she is in the American version. Her performance was very strong and deeply impressive but she didn’t want to re-play Lisbeth. Rumored Rooney made the best of it. God bless Rooney and Daniel.

As a fan of the book, I don’t see a problem in having a different “point of view” of Lisbeth Salander, especially if it’s from the great David Fincher. So please, leave Rooney Mara alone already. If you feel so offended by her, just don’t watch and ignore the new movie (which I bet is going to be pretty hard at some point).

@Truth: If they knew it would flop, they would be saving the money they have. That’s usually how it works. Movie promotion costs a lot of money, especially a campaign this aggressive. She didn’t “sleep with the director” and the early reaction to her performance has been unanimously positive. There you have it…
