The 25-year-old English actor stars opposite Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Christina Ricci in the adaptation of the Guy de Maupassant novel from 1885.

Rob plays Georges Duroy, an ex-soldier and journalist “who uses his charm and good looks to climb the social ladder in Paris,” THR reports.
Bel Ami is expected to hit theaters overseas at the end of February.

Amazing character for a young actor. Georges Duroy is an anti-hero. A real challenge for Robert Pattinson and a great experience for his career. The trailer really impressed me in a good way.

Excited to follow Rob and his career. He has made some of the best movies now that he has a choice and this looks to be his strongest character yet. He’s managing just fine to the dismay of his haters and they know it!! Bring on Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis next!
@york: Haters tend to say that. Acting is subjective, but he is good enough to be in this film directed by a Laurence Olivier Award winning director and Cronenberg is impressed as well! Something just doesn’t add up with the haters saying he “can’t act” LOL.

he is becoming very good at acting,don’t judge the guy based on the Twilight films.i saw remember me and water for Elephants he was good in them.
