Queen Elizabeth II: Christmas Day Telecast!
Queen Elizabeth dresses in a festive red dress in London’s 1844 Room of Buckingham Palace after recording her annual Christmas Day television broadcast to the Commonwealth on December 9.
The royals – including Prince William and Duchess Kate – are set to attend a Christmas service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene on the queen’s estate in rural Norfolk. After a gala lunch, they’ll gather to watch the queen’s prerecorded telecast.
On Christmas Eve, the family traditionally exchanges gifts at Sandringham House also in Norfolk.
FYI: Queen Elizabeth II‘s husband, Prince Philip, 90, had a coronary stent put in on Friday (December 23) to fix a blocked artery. Today is the second day the queen visited her husband in the hospital.
