Is her maiden name simmons? why did it not change after she got divorced?
@csmks: women can choose to keep their married name from a previous marriage even after a divorce.
many many women choose to do this because often times they have been married for a number of years and are both personally used to the married last name as well as known that way professionally.
I appreciate his work – he seems like a very soulful man. Beautiful child, tender dad. Kimora also seems to have softened since this marriage.

And as for her name…maybe she’s not officially a Simmons anymore, and just known that way in the business? Sort of like how actors/musicians take stage names. Or it’s just good for business. Who knows–it actually doesn’t matter to any one of us.

well they are married traditionally…in Benin. I thin with most traditional marriages one does not change their name except in the European religious traditions
Also most women WHO HAVE CHILDREN from the previous marriage choose to keep thier married name for the sake of the children, however not after the birth of a new child with another man
Kimora is most likely comfortable keeping her name for business reasons…her sucess came under that name and she is unlikely to drop it..
Also we have no idea if she has changed it but does not use it in teh media..only for personal documents like her will and kids school etc
