Gerard Butler: Glasgow for the Holidays

Gerard Butler arrives at the airport on Saturday (December 24) in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 42-year-old Scottish stud took a break from filming his latest movie, Of Men and Mavericks, to spend time with friends and family over the holidays.

Gerry is on the mend after a scary surfing accident earlier in the month – when a large outside set of waves came through, he was held down under water and hit on the head before finally being plucked out after the waves subsided.

@niknoks: Thanks for the info! Bet he’ll be chowing down on something good then.

@GFW: I agree! He’s looking much more relaxed as well!

    @lolita: You’re welcome Lolita!! =)

Happy for you and your team Gerry!!

    niknoks Says:

Yep, Celtic won 1-0, the game ended with a bit of an on field scrap, all in all a good game. My OH watched it down the pub, so I dare say he will roll in steaming drunk in the early hours. ;-)

@niknoks: That puts them in first place with this win, just ahead of the Rangers. It must have been quite a game. Sounds like your hubby will be having a great time celebrating.

@bystander: It means roaring drunk which is surprising since he no longer drinks alcohol, but the Celtic did beat the Rangers tonight in Glasgow 1-0 – go Celtic! Some of the guys were streaming in the office this afternoon – had to leave so never saw the end of the match.

I’m a Celtic fan – can’t help it! Hope he wasn’t celebrating too much!

@lolita: Hey Lolita – totally agree – he looks sober as a preacher – his buds are the drinkers perhaps he’s the designated walker and enjoying their company. Great pictures from everyone tonight.

Can’t believe Twitter – no one has any privacy – now I know why I don’t have an account. Fun though seeing the few places that he and his mates are roving to & from before hitting the match at Celtic Park.

thanks for all the pics CGE! Hope everyone had a great day!

Judging from the tweets from the twitterazzi he watched the match at the Admiral, maybe he couldn’t get tickets, they are like gold dust, the Old Firm derby sells out literally minutes after the dates are announced, doesn’t matter who you are, the Queen couldn’t get tickets to that fixture if she wanted.

@Autumn: A, this is just the lift Gerry needed. Designated walker so cute!!

@niknoks: Nik, I bet the roar from the win was heard across Glasgow.

Happy for Butler and his Bhoys! Sounds like he is having a good ole time in Glasgow. As it should be!! Hope everyone here is well and had a splendid day. I agree with you Autumn, the twitter world is so invasive. But I am guilty as well because I opened all the links. :)) Thanks for the links CGE and redO. And thanks for giving us a feel for the game atmosphere, Nik. Love ♥ and hugs to all! Stay safe out there. It’s rookie week on the roads. XXO

It’s funny how people talk about the “old hags”..not realising..that “they” in fact, will “get old” too…each day..think about it …”you get older”…then before you know it…. “you’re a “old hag” yourself..LOL!!…Maybe just maybe…with a abit of wisdom..:)

Thank you so much for posting all the photos and articles. You keep us up to date so thank you again.

@niknoks: I wonder if that’s the bar on Waterloo and Blythswood. I think I was in that pub several years back – cool wee place. Very hot Celtic following in there.

One of my guys is a huge fan as well so they were live streaming the match – love technology.

    thanks Nik! Cheers!

Why waste your time on Hags? It is pointless to try to rationalize with an irrational person.

  17. 142
    Autumn Says:

@Hags Central: God help you – you’re also stupid and vain! There’s no chance for you – get out now while you can! Save yourself – please don’t breed and please stay on your meds.

Trust me all of my fellow hags on here with me in the home are waving their canes and praying that you get stuck tomorrow in the midst of lots of elderly people perhaps some wisdom might rub off.

If you think your statement’s have vitality, you’re lacking some iron, honey.

  18. 143
    Autumn Says:

@Truth: Oh I feel like a good fight tonight too bad she’s not even a worthy opponent. I hit the ring tomorrow and this will just give me a little added zip when I pound on the guy I spar with at the gym.

    Be good Truth.

    Autumn and Truth…
Truth is can’t argue with someone like that..I think they “love” to get a rise out of people..Unfortunately ..with today’s computers..many cowards “hide” behind them…

I hate to break it to you Hags..I doubt they’ll find the fountain of youth anytime soon..and has for wisdom..I think you lost yours along the way..just remember wrinkle at a time :) …

To the gals here, have fun on here for the next several weeks and I hope there are lots of items about Mr. B when I return stateside. Hoping I can get an uplink just to view. Keep the site happy and sane!

RedO, JDV, Angel, NIK, Tonto, CGE, Truth, Lolita, Maggie, CCat, Manny, Dimples, et al – my apologies for letting my Scots temper flare today with certain folks (my Celtics won & I have a few days before I travel) so I should be better than that – it will serve me well in the gym tomorrow. My patience is wearing thin with folks here. All of you are wonderful people who don’t deserve to be spoken too in a public forum like this – none of us do.

To each of you : Have a very Happy New Year filled with friends, family, and fun! Many Blessings! Talk to you in a few weeks.

  21. 146
    Autumn Says:

@Hags Central: Instead of perpetuating this and wasting vital space and time I will just AGREE with you. You are so right! Brilliant, in fact. You have us all figured out – my hats off to you. Applause all around.

Have a wonderful New Year! and I truly hope that you have a lovely rest of the week at your job with your co-workers & pals. Have a great New Year’s Eve at all of those fab parties you probably were invited to – don’t imbibe too much and be really careful so nothing happens to you and yours.

    yuck Says:

@Autumn: This hags person does not seem to get real life and seems very naive! Stirring some trouble up and best to ignore IMO.

    Hags Central Says:

“women today can look 10 to 15 years younger with the treatments available to them today. ”
That’s true for today. Taking good care of yourself and your skin, coupled with available treatments can definitely make you look 10-15 years younger. However, medicine and technology are advancing at the speed of light. In 5 years they will be able to grow spare organs for people. They are already doing it now, they just need to perfect it some more. There is so much going on, including connecting your mind to the internet and keeping it alive that way.
Don’t lose hope for humanity to advance beyond this point. There are reptiles that live 150-500 years. If science can figure out what keeps their cells from deteriorating, unlike what happens to mammals, maybe it could be transferred to people.

    Cnoc Mhor Says:

@Autumn: Have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year! Safe travels and Take Care:)

    yuck Says:

@Hags Central: Yes, I agree with you in 5 to 10 years aging will not have to happen. It is amazing what is available now let alone in 5 to 10 years will be incredible!
