Michael Jordan is engaged to Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto!
The 48-year-old basketball legend (and Bobcats owner) got engaged to Yvette, 32, over the Christmas weekend after dating for three years.
This will be Michael‘s second marriage. He divorced Juanita Vanoy in 2006 after 16 years of marriage. (She reportedly walked away with $186 million.) They share three kids – daughter Jasmine and sons Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James.
Yvette was romantically linked to singer Julio Iglesias Jr. – Enrique’s older brother.

Juanita wasn’t light enough for him, he had to go all the way. Look at who he’s been with, certainly no dark-skinned women. It shows a lack of character in my opinion, in the end he’s no different from Kobe and Tiger, he’s just been able to hide it better. I won’t be spending my money on anything Jordon anymore. In five years half will go to the white chick. It may sound racist, but it’s racist that so many black women are without mates. The white man is not the racist enemy anymore, sadly the black man.

@noel: Wow, racist much? I’m not at all, but a lot of black men do see it as a social step up to marry a white woman and black women HATE it when they lose a black man to a white woman, a la Nicole Simpson.
I’m a white woman and have dated many a biracial man. I just think dark skinned men are hot. It’s not a racist thing at all!

I don’t agree with Michael marrying this woman but who am i to judge. If he wants to be stupid and allow her to win the Jordan sweepstakes, thats on him. @noel and mimi: you are either a non-black person trying to stir up a race fight here or just ignorant: statistically, MOST people are married to people of their own race. that is a statistical fact. MOST ball players are married to women of their own race but of course you focus on the famous ones who don’t. WHO CARES? love who you want to love. If she is Cuban, she probably has lots of black lineage anyway. Juanita was 100% black.
Besides, I know a lot of black women who are making the choice to marry white men instead of black men – in fact, i know many who have that as a preference as i know many white men who seems to love the darkest black women. These are all choices. At the end of the day, when we all die, who CARES???

As a black girl, I am an individual and most black men, as any other men, are strangers to me. In other words, i don’t care about them.
@A you sound as confused as the ones complaining about MJ’s choice in a wife. There is nothing wrong with you choosing to date outside your race but claiming black men as strangers? Black is your race and heritage, including black men. Black men don’t have to be considered strangers because you choose not to date them. 2012, who we choose to marry or date should only concern the two parties, no one else’s opinions should matter. People need to get over themselves and let others live their lives as the see fit.

Skin color means nothing to me. It’s just a shell that says nothing more about me than my racial heritage. I’m a woman first. A woman who happens to be black and my boyfriend is a man who happens to be white. We don’t care about those superficial things.
