David Beckham Turns Down French Soccer Club

David Beckham will not be joining French club Paris Saint-Germain, according to team officials.

The 36-year-old soccer star was believed to be leaving the United States to play in France but PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi said David “is not coming.”

“We feel a little disappointed,” he added. “But both sides agreed it would be better that we not do the deal … maybe in the future.”

David will most likely continue playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy though a deal is not in place just yet.

“We have been talking with David about staying with the Galaxy for three months. And I said back in November, I was confident David would stay here and I still am,” AEG’s Tim Leiweke told the L.A. Times. “Does it look more likely that is heading in that direction? Yes. Are we done? No.”
