Elizabeth Banks Covers 'Lucky' February 2012

Elizabeth Banks looks gorgeous in Stella McCartney as she takes the cover of Lucky magazine’s February 2012 issue, on newsstands Tuesday (January 3).

Here’s what the 37-year-old Hunger Games actress had to share:

On her Hunger Games bizarre makeover: “It’s based on my heroes, Rosalind Russell in Auntie Mame and Katharine Hepburn in The Philadelphia Story.”

On her feelings toward fashion: “I was kind of late to the party. I mean, I have always appreciated fashion. But I’m a girl who loves a bargain. I’ll shop at Forever 21 and H&M.”

On using a surrogate to achieve her dream of becoming a mother: “It was a womb issue for me. Embryos wouldn’t implant. It’s a big leap, inviting this person into your life to do this amazing, important think for you. And it’s hard losing that kind of control. But our surrogate is so extraordinary, and she’s still in our lives. She like an auntie.”

I’m glad she used a surrogate for a legit reason and not just because she didnt want to get fat. Always liked her, so for that reason and also after the H&M and Forever21 comment I like her even more!!

I don’t like many of the roles she choses but I think she is refreshingly open and honest, plus down to earth.
