'Paranormal Activity 4' Announced!

Paranormal Activity, the spooktacular horror franchise, will be getting a fourth installment!

Paranormal Activity 4 will be released sometime this year, according to THR.

The Paranormal franchise has been hugely successful. The last film, Paranormal Activity 3, which cost $5 million to produce, grossed over $200 million worldwide, beating out the grosses of the first and second film combined.

In the past, all three films have been released around Halloween time, but a date has not been officially set for Paranormal Activity 4.

ARE YOU EXCITED for the fourth installment of Paranormal Activity?

These are like the saw movies. Way too many.

Come on… you can’t be serious

I don’t understand how there can be a 4 when the writers have killed off every character in the family unless they go with a whole different plot line.

Haven’t seen any of them, no plan to. Hipster status for life.

I loved PA1, haven’t seen PA2 (reviews were bad) and I hated PA3. It was really over the top evil IMO. So I’m really curious how they’re going to rectify that mess.

The only thing that can save this movie is a sex/porno scene that costs $5 million to produce alone.

I’ve never seen any of these movies. Are they any good? Should I check them out?

call me crazy but..... @ 01/03/2012 at 8:49 am

@James:
Nah, mate, they are a load of trash. Couldn’t scare a f*rt out of a fly! Don’t waste ya money unless ya wanna be stuck in a cinema w a bunch of hysterical, squealing, teenage girls. I took my gf, and we were both deeply disappointed by the lack of scares n tension. When I watch a horror film I expect to be freaked out n the only freaks were the teenage hysteria princesses in the first three rows. Waste of freaking time n money!!

its possible @ 01/03/2012 at 9:32 am

there can be a fourth because in the previews of the third one they show the house burning down on the 18th or something but the third movie ends on the date of the 17th.

Oh. It’s the Paramount Studio that’s trying to milk it. I cannot believe they greenlit this. Vote with your wallets people.

Can’t wait! They just get better and better!

Why do they keep making these god awful movies? They’re NOT scary and no one wants to sit through a movie for that long just to see any excitement that MIGHT be present in the last 10 minutes of a movie.

only saw the first one. don’t know if it even counts as “saw” as I ended up fastforwarding through 90-95% of the movie. nothing scary about this “horror movie,” just incredibly boring.

YAY! Can’t wait! :D

@Asha

No not all the characters have been killed off.
Katie’s (step?) niece is still alive.
Katie and Baby Hunter we can possibly assume to be alive also :)

Am I excited to watch the same story again? No.

I actually like all the paranormal activity movies. They’re exciting and suspenseful and have very startling moments. I don’t know why everyone hates them so much.

I don’t understand how there can be a 4 when the writers have killed off every character in the family unless they go with a whole different plot line.
