OlderZooey Deschanel Files for Divorce from Ben Gibbard
Zooey Deschanel is making her split from rocker Ben Gibbard official.
The 31-year-old New Girl star filed for divorce in L.A. County Superior Court on December 27 citing “irreconcilable differences,” TMZ reports.

According to the court documents, the official date of separation is listed as October 31, just one day before news broke that the couple had called it quits.
Zooey and Ben, 35, the frontman for the band Death Cab for Cutie, wed in 2009.

I agree with you, it’s sad that so many people are divorcing. Seems like we all forgot how sacred love is. I know **** happens to us and it hurts and we all have a past that has hurt us, but love can overcome anything (besides physical abuse because that’s not love). Good luck to Zooey finding her true love!
It’s sad when folks are already rooting for her to be with someone else instead of hoping they can reconcille after taking vows to love each until death do us part.
Also, her show sucks! I don’t get all the buzz surrounding it. It is stupid and totally not funny, unless you think being a moron is funny.
