Demi Lovato - JustJared.com Exclusive Interview!

Demi Lovato attends Seventeen‘s “Power of Friendship” luncheon on Wednesday (January 4) held at Cleo at the Redbury Hotel in Los Angeles.

The 19-year-old singer, who graces the mag’s February issue, met up with JustJared.com at the event to dish on what’s coming up next for her.

Also pictured: Demi at a signing for her Seventeen cover later in the day at a Barnes & Noble in Glendale, Calif.

JJ: What qualities do you look for in a friendship?
DL: What I look forward to in a good friend is just people that I can trust and that are honest to me and people that are really open. People that aren’t afraid to tell me that my butt looks big in a dress (laughs). I also look for people that I can really trust with valuable information.

JJ: You were amazing at the Latin Grammys performing in Spanish. Would you do a Spanish record in the future?
DL: Maybe! That would be awesome!

JJ: You look fantastic on the new cover of Seventeen!
DL: Thank you! It’s a huge honor. I’m really blessed to be a contributing editor and to be that young voice for people that need to hear somebody speak about issues that they have been struggling with.

JJ: You had a lot of success in 2011, what are you looking to do next musically?
DL: Musically I want to perform or have something to do with the Grammys one day, so that’s on my bucket list. To be nominated or win one, or something, I don’t know, it would be a dream come true for me.

JJ: What song will you be singing at the People’s Choice Awards next week?
DL: I’ll be performing my new single “Give Your Heart a Break.”

Ofcourse its natural for all these people to find a person who goes to rehab to seek help for issues “shady”……I for one just hope she continues getting help and inspiration from the right people and focuses on her music because her voice is fabulous and her music is really really good and underrated.

Thank you for the interview Just Jared……Since a lot of people know I have a complete crush on Demi let me just quickly say how that happened. I am a fan that travels to a lot of her shows. I was there the day she first sang ” Believe in Me” live in front of an audience. Got lucky was corner of front row. She sang the first two lines and then I saw her face and eyes “diminish” ( not sure of a good word there) . I don’t know what it was it had an effect on me. Anyway fan forever!!

Wow, that was quite the interview where we learned nothing! Yay!!!!

Thumb up Thumb down +4

I wouldn’t tell a friend who recently suffered from a serious eating disorder that her butt looked big in anything.

Thumb up Thumb down +1

What’s the point of performing a song in a language you can’t even speak?

Thumb up Thumb down -10

She looks like she has had cosmetic surgery BUT I am sure she hasn’t BUT I think she should BECAUSE she looks like SHIAT!!!!

I used to think red hair looked amazing on her (from pics she twitted) but here, it looks ridiculous. Like, too red-ish. Washes her out. Eeck.

@Reality: She probably looks better than you. gtfo. :)
