OK, I’m going to get this in before all the Diane Kruger haters arrive: can one of you please rationally explain what you find so horrible about this woman? I’ve noticed she gets a myriad of hateful comments whenever there’s a post about her here, generally with comments such as “she’s old and ugly” (really???), “she’s never gonna marry Joshua Jackson” (so?), “she’s a fame ho always complaining that she doesn’t get into American films” (can you please provide a direct quote where she utters such a complaint?), “she’s not famous in the US, no one know who she is” (why is the US the be all end all of fame?). The way I see it, Diane Kruger is quite a successfull actress, very famous in Europe and less so in America, who splits her time making big American films and big French films and always has projects on the go. She’s not on the level of, say Rachel Bilson, Kate Bosworth or the myriad of other people hated on here who literally do next to nothing.

@John R.:
you’re right but think of Dicaprio as Louis XIV LMAO, Jovovich as Joan of Arc, many actors as Christopher Colombus and so on

The movie is based on a wonderful award winning book of the same title by Chantal Thomas. A definite must see regardless of Kruger’s resemblance to Marie Antoinette – Kirsten Dunst doesn’t resemble Marie Antionette either (and that movie was a waste of space).

@Happy_Evil_Dude:

I know what you mean.The ever annoying Jackson fangirls.

I agree….some people are so quick to criticize everything and everybody…of all these “actresses” out there….how many can act fluently in three different languages and make art house films AND action movies ?! She`s hugely respected in Europe and at least since Inglorious ******** she is in the US as well…and I`m sorry…in MOP she looks better and fresher than some 25 year olds here in the US !!!

did anyone think of Coppola’s Marie Antoinette upon seeing the banner picture? I swear I thought this was Kirsten Dunst

I havent seen the trailer for this film so I cant judge it, but I absolutely loved Sophias Marie Antoinette. It was stunning.

I loved Sofia Coppola’s “Marie Antoinette”, but I really wish they would make a current film about what Marie Antoinette went through during the French Revolution prior to her execution. Marie Antoinette was so saint, but she did not deserve the “justice” that she received.

hey name antoinette i love so me

I like Diane Kruger too. She looks nothing like Marie Antoinette, though.
