The L.A. Complex: The CW's New Show!

The upcoming Canadian soap The L.A. Complex is being acquired by The CW.

The show, which premieres on Canada’s MuchMusic on Tuesday (January 9) @ 9pm ET, follow the lives of a group of twenty-somethings as they try to survive in LA and make it as actors, comedians, producers, and dancers.

The CW is expected to air the six already produced episodes of The L.A. Complex during Summer 2012. They may even pick up an additional seven eps – 13 in total!

Here are some character introductions via Deadline: Jonathan Patrick Moore (Neighbours) as Connor, a breakout Australian with a dark past; Cassie Steele (Degrassi) as Abby, a Toronto girl ready to fight to get to the top in Hollywood; Joe Dinicol (Life With Derek) as Nick, a nice-guy comedian; Chelan Simmons (Kyle XY) as Alicia, a dancer who will do whatever it takes to make ends meet; and Benjamin Charles Watson (Soul) as Tariq, a talented hip-hop artist from Montreal working as an intern.

Watch the preview for The L.A. Complex below. This has so much potential, we can’t wait to check it out!!!

This is aboot the worst idea the CW has ever had, and that’s saying something. The “Melrose Place” revival already died. Who wants to see a cheap knockoff from Canada?

Just watched the PILOT. It has nothing to do with Melrose, it’s all about aspiring talents in their own individual field trying to make it in hollywood, some interesting characters. Though the pilot was a tad rushed, and a bit boring.

I LOVE Canadian shows, especially Degrassi! I am excited to see Cassie Steele in this show :) I hope it does well!

I watched all 6 episodes much better than i thought it would be. I hope that they really finish off the season… with no stupid random cliffhangers… definitely worth watching and the acting is pretty good as well
