Hugh Jackman: Returning to Broadway in 'Houdini'!

Hugh Jackman and his daughter Ava play a friendly game of tag as they head to her school on Friday morning (January 6) in New York City.

The 43-year-old Aussie actor also brought along his pet pooch Dali for the walk. The day before, Hugh held onto a cup of coffee as he left the gym.

Hugh may have just ended his most recent run on Broadway, but he has already planned his next return! He will star in the upcoming musical Houdini, based on the life of legendary magician Harry Houdini.

The show will feature music and lyrics by Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz and a book by The Social Network‘s Aaron Sorkin.

“I have been deeply fascinated by the life of Harry Houdini since I was young, and in many ways I’ve been preparing for this role my whole life. I am thrilled to be collaborating with this collection of artists who are all at the top of their game,” Hugh said about working on the project.
