Christian Bale: 'Dark Knight Rises' 'EW' Cover!

Christian Bale suits up as Batman on the cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s Forecast issue.

“I can tell you the truth because I’m done with it: I felt immense pressure. And I think it’s a good pressure, because you owe it to the films – and the people’s expectations – to make great work,” the 37-year-old actor tells the mag about reprising his role as the caped crusader.

“I think when people see the film, things will come into focus,” director Christopher Nolan adds. “Bane [played by Tom Hardy] is very complex and very interesting and when people see the finished film people will be very entertained by him.”

EW also revealed that The Dark Knight Rises returns to The Batcave and takes place eight years after The Dark Knight.

The Dark Knight Rises, which also stars Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, and Marion Cotillard, hits theaters July 20!
