OlderJohnny Depp: New 'Dark Shadows' Still!
Check out this newly released still of Johnny Depp as a ghoulish vampire in his upcoming flick Dark Shadows!
The 48-year-old actor plays vamp Barnabas Collins in the Tim Burton directed supernatural drama.
Dark Shadows, which is an adaptation of the cult television drama of the same name, centers around Johnny‘s character and his various run-ins with monsters, witches, werewolves, and ghosts.
The movie, which also stars Chloe Moretz, Helena Bonham Carter, and Michelle Pfeiffer, is set to be released on May 11 of this year.

Right now, I have no opinion….I’m justy waiting…everyone thinks they can do vampire right….visually, I’m not impressed…yet, I can’t wait to see how they’ll do this revised Dark Shadows.

Wow, what have they done to his fingers?? Scary… I have no real opinion on this movie as of yet. Don’t know the original Dark Shadows, so… BUT: I’m usually a huge fan of Tim’s work and I bet he’s done great again.
The look is almost the same as the one he had in Edward Scissorshands, except he looks middle-age now. I like Johnny but starting to think he only shows his good acting chops in cartoon-like characters which all blend in and can be tiresome now. Seems he has a hard time playing a regular person now.
I can’t wait to see the trailer!!

Jonathan Frid, the ORIGINAL Barnabas Collins is alive and well and living in Ancaster, Ontario, outside Hamilton. He has lunch almost every day at Sammy Jo’s in Ancaster.
I believe he has a cameo in this new movie.
He looks like Winona Ryder.

Talented man at one time, but I’m not liking the look of this reincarnation. . It’s too comical. I suppose he still has talent, but it’s going to waste on the things he’s been doing the last few years. He’s chasing the money now, which isn’t a bad thing, but I think his craft has suffered. I don’t automatically want to see a Johnny Depp movie anymore, not for a while.

Brenda – Obviously Michelle referred to him as a “dirty man” because he often looks like he doesn’t shower regularly. That was clear given the context. I like Johnny Depp, but I have to admit that his homeless gypsy vagabond look is tired.
