OlderJanuary Jones: Everybody Hates Me & My 'Mad Men' Character
January Jones heads to the gym on Thursday (January 19) in Los Angeles.
The 34-year-old actress recently chatted with E! Online about Mad Men fans who aren’t too fond of her character, Betty.
“I find it really interesting that people think that like in seasons 3 and 4, she’s become unlikable because she’s become more independent. Everybody liked Betty when she was like in a living hell in season one and two, and now they hate her,” January said.
“I think it’s funny that it carries over into my life, my actual life, when [showrunner] Matt [Weiner] writes a storyline that Betty’s unlikable, all of a sudden everybody hates me. I hope she gets a little more well received,” she added.

I have no idea why people hate her so much. When she was on Oprah, she seemed fine to me. And she seems to be an actress that marches to the beat of her own drum. She also called out Ashton Kutcher for being a douche to her when they first dated which also gives her a few more points in my book.
Well I’d rather see her than dull Hilary Duff.

I’ve hated Betty since season 1 ! She is so cold, especially to her children. She scares the hell out of them! and she left Don for another man almost instantly even though she blamed Don for cheating on her!
There is nothing likable about this woman!

I love the show on the other hand and cannot stand Betty.

She’s such a cherry, smiley happy person isn’t she, January looks like she talks in rainbows and dances under the happy stars. Her baby’s daily life must be full of happiness, joy and warmth..NOT, she looks as cold as the month she is named after, what a constant sourpuss face in public. That poor baby, what a grouchy mama he has, hope he still learns to smile.
I dunno, I like January. She does seem to march to her own beat and she keeps her private life private for the most part. She probably isn’t smiling in these pictures because she’s one star who *didn’t* call the paps herself.
People don’t hate her because her character is unlikeable, they hate her cause SHE’s unlikeable, and she’s a horrible and stiff as an actress.

these people are angry because January won’t tell them the name of her baby’s father which for some reason they think they have a right to know.
I wouldn’t like to cross her irl but she just looks so fine as Betty. She’s got this special period look and as a single mother who dumped ASSton dumber-than-a-silicon-implant Kutcher, she deserves some points.
