OlderDemi Moore Hospitalized, Seeking 'Professional Assistance'
Demi Moore is seeking professional assistance after being rushed to the hospital on Monday night (January 23).
Paramedics responded to the 49-year-old actress’s home in L.A. after a 911 call came in at 10:45 p.m. TMZ reports the hospitalization was due to substance abuse.
“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health,” says her rep.
“She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends,” the rep added.

It’s sad when a grown ass woman can’t keep it together after a breakup. It’s hurts I know but dude she has three girls who need a better example of a mother.

I doubt it’s because of the breakup. They said her drinking was a habit she had while with Ashton – he even used it as an excuse.

She did not get “rushed to the hospital” for exhaustion! I’m a paramedic…. you get rushed to the hospital if you took too many damn pills mixed with booze after not eating for 2-3 days on top of a poor diet anyway. That’s what happened
What came first the full blown addiction issue or the breakup? Obviously it takes a while to get to rock bottom. She must have had issues long before the breakup.

overall health means that she needs to eat …eat solid cooked food that is like a turkey, potatoes, steak, ,meatballs n spaghetti,
not raw food of veggies and fruits.

When we are exhausted, we take a nap. a good hot shower. A tylenol. A good meal. Go to sleep. Why can’t she if she is exhausted?
Demi is 49 and cannot handle that and that she cannot compete with the 20something girls and the acting roles they get and the men they get. Demi had her day in the sun.
Demi got dumped by Ashton who was simply too young for , even if she has a great figure and as we know, she has flashed her bod over and over. She cannot have kids. He wants kids.
She had her family. He wants what nature wants and that is to be 33 which he is. He wants to be 29-33 in eveery sense of the word.
Demi should not ahve married the boy and should now, eat, sleep, and find a man of her age.

So this chick Mayra Dias Gomes (she works on E!) says it’s all Ashton’s fault. He kept cheating on Demi and one day she couldn’t take it anymore, freaked out, got divorced and now this.
Accept getting older and all the freedom that brings. When you prison yourself by conforming to artificial standards, you behave stupidly and people make fun of you. Learn to live and embrace life in all its chapters. Took me awhile, but it’s good now.

There is ageism in Hollywood, but there are several women over 40 on high profile television shows. Maybe the problem with Demi’s age is she is fighting it tooth and nail. Acceptance would have worked better. And the age difference was probably just too much overall. We all get older and it would be much more empowering if she didn’t result to abuse as a cry for help. It’s kind of sad and embarrassing for anyone, i.e., Charlie Sheen.

Hollywood has use for all ages … when young and fresh, they play ingenues, when middle-aged, they play mums, when older, they play grandmothers or older women with character … there are many in Hollywood who fall into all these categories. Yes, the world of fashion and HW is obsessed with the young, even airbrushing models who are teens! The problem most times is when ageing women try to hold on to their youth, by whatever means available to them, in particular various cosmetic procedures. It is fine to keep one’s looks as good as possible, but there comes a time for all of us when we need to realise we are moving into different phases of our lives, and to accept the maturity and wisdom and character that comes with getting older. One can’t keep the ageing process at bay forever and most times, when people do, it simply makes them look weird; that which makes it distracting when they are acting in a film.
I also feel the odds of this marriage lasting with such a huge age difference were rather low at the outset.
Nevertheless, I have compassion for Demi and hope she is able to recover and become stronger and healthier.

It’s all bull, “exhaustion” is just a PR’s spin on the word “overdose”. They think the public is stupid. Why is she so exhausted, she barely works (she’s made what, 1 or 2 movies in past couple of years?!!) and has tons of money (so unlike most women, she has no worries after a split) and has all the time in the world to rest, yet she is “exhausted”. Demi, we see it for what is it, OD.

Demi Moore’s friend called paramedics Monday night after the actress inhaled a dangerous amount of nitrous oxide … TMZ has learned.
Sources tell TMZ … one of Demi’s friends who was at her home told emergency workers Demi was doing whip-its. A whip-it is a street name for a type of nitrous oxide inhalant.
The friend said she became upset when Demi had a reaction to a whip-it and lapsed into semi-consciousness.
It appears Demi had symptoms of a seizure — after inhaling the nitrous.
A whip-it is not a common drug among people of Demi’s age and social status. It’s typically used by younger people who are looking for a cheap thrill.
