He’s probably the only one pumped for this movie because after the cast of Swift, they will have to pay people to show up.

  • Barbara

@mel: Who the hell are you, the spokesman of humanity? Les Miserables is considered by insiders as one of the great movies that will compete at the Oscars 2013. Is really assumptive and very snobbish give negative opinions about a movie not released yet because not yet realized. Tom Hooper (Academy Award winner for The King’s Speech and Les Mis director) isn’t an amateur, he knows what he’s doing. Maybe you do think you know how make a movie better than a professional talented director?

  • Vesper

Could be worse Mel they could have picked Miley!! And Yum to seeing Hugh.

  • lisa

Love Hugh. I am sure he will do a terrific job in the movie.

  • [~Fug Face Man!ston~]

@mel: ..I don’t think anyone cares about Swift having a small role. I’m pumped, Hugh rocks.

  • mel

@[~Fug Face Man!ston~]: You sure are not a Les Miserables fan. Because I’ a huge fan and I can tell you, Eponine is a fan favourite and fans do not want this chick near the musical.

  • mel

@Vesper: Thank you, Vesper! You’re the only one that understands.

  • bill

    I really love that guy….

  • mel

@Barbara: Really? I don’t know what sites you read but insiders don’t expect much from this movie. Tom Hooper’s POV was very poor in TKS, the only reason why that movie won last year is because the Academy loves its cast and Weinstein was distributing and he’s known for playing hard during Awards Season. The cast of Les Mis is very good but nobody will take seriously a movie with Taylor Swift on it PLUS she can not belt which means On My Own will be a shitty song. A Little Fall of Rain will be an overreacted number and not even Eddie Redmayne will be able to save it. It wouldn’t be this outrageous if Taylor, at least, was able to sing but she can’t and she has no acting background let alone Broadway background the do the part justice. Eponine might not be the lead role but it’s a fan favourite and fans are very demanding with the person that plays her because it requieres and extreme talent taht Swift does not posses. I don’t know why you say Mr. Hooper is a talented director because he only got the Oscar because the Academy hates Fincher who actually deserved it last year. The movie will probably win some Awards and if they play the game enough, they will compete for best picture but it won’t win. The movie will bomb because there are better and more hyped movies coming out at the same time: The Hobbit comes out jsua week later which means that the movie will lose a lot compared to the first weekend, TArantino’s movie comes out at the same time and don’t forget the power of Twilight that comes out 3 weeks before but prove it can endure with time.

This guy is good but he’s no Valjean. Period.

@mel: …Cool, don’t watch it. Your problem is solved. ahahahaha

  • peggy

    @[~Fug Face Man!ston~]:

You really don’t know what you are talking about do you???

Eponine is a big role I guess you didn’t see the play –and I can tell you it’s the worst casting ever and those of us who loved the play now have no reason to go..

Even Miley has a singing voice compared to Swist – remember when they sang together?

  • thetis

    @[~Fug Face Man!ston~]:

Swift as a pivitol role and one of hte best songs in the show which she will butcher beyond recognition. So please pepper your remarks with some actual knowledge

  • [~Fug Face Man!ston~]

@thetis: …ahahahahahahahaa …How many times are you going to change names?!? `ahahaha ..Just don’t watch it. You can change your name 10 more times to respond to me but please leave more time in between the post. ahahahaha

  • ellie’

    Just love Hugh..!!

  • Barbara

@mel: What sites? Academy Awards site, Broadway World site, as well as a lot of opinions of professional critics on IMDb and Variety, among others. History is full of ‘supposed experts’ who predicted disasters that now are classics of world cinema and nobody normally pan a movie that hasn’t been released yet because it’s NOT EVEN yet been shot.

  • mel

@Barbara: You’re right BUT besides fans of the musical this movie will be for adults and that’s why they put swift in, to attract 13 year old girls and when adults see teens screaming taylor’s name they will walk away

  • Ella

I don´t care about Swift. I refuse to judge a movie that even doesn´t exist yet. Nobody really confirmed Swift yet and I don´t want to judge her before seeing her. I have nothing personal against her, nobody heard her singing musical before – if she takes lessons, why she couldn´t handle it? I will go to see it for Jackman, who is a great actor and deserves all my attention. And FYI, I DO read websites and only people freaking out are the obsessed musical fans who would prefer to cast a movie with absolutely unknown stage actors who would make the movie flop.

  • ChristyA

They can push this all they like, but if it has Taylor Swift in it, I won’t be seeing it.

  • Meaghan Ellis

You are right that no one is really looking forward to Les Miserables as Hugh Jackman was very ill during his filming and his voice has gotten bad and his Lesbian wife Deb Lee Furness and his straight lifestyle that is complicated by living this life of convenience is believed to be part of his illness and his constant drinking to cover his despair in his life is evident in the world and all the pictures he has with a drink in his hand and his eyes are usually always red and he is aging quickly, such a shame for a world who wishes all to be truthful of their life and it is wished he would find truth and therefore a true love with a straigh woman and maybe he could be a better man…
